The VEVOR manual pipe tube bender (model SWG-25) is a hand-operated tool for bending small round metal tubes. It comes with seven dies, one for each common diameter from 3/8 inch to 1 inch, so one tool covers the pipe sizes used in HVAC, refrigeration and general plumbing and auto work.
What it bends
VEVOR lists the tool for round pipes only, with an outside diameter (O.D.) from 3/8" to 1" (10-25 mm) and a wall thickness of 0-2 mm. The listing names copper, aluminium, brass and stainless steel as suitable tubing. The bend angle is adjustable from 0° to 180°, so you can make anything from a gentle sweep to a full U-turn.
"O.D." matters here. Pipe is often sold by nominal size, which can differ from the actual outside diameter, so measure the tube you plan to use and match it to a die.
The seven dies and bending radius
The set includes seven dies at 3/8", 1/2", 9/16", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8" and 1". Each die has its own bending radius, listed by VEVOR as 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 110 and 113 mm, from smallest to largest pipe. The radius is the curve of the bend measured at the centre of the tube.
A die that fits the pipe closely supports the tube as it bends. Using the wrong size is a common reason bends kink or flatten. Tighter radii also demand more from the material, so thin-walled or harder tubing is the most likely to deform.
Build and handling
The body is carbon steel, which VEVOR says resists deformation under frequent heavy use and gives precise, consistent bends without damaging the pipe's structure. An extra-long ergonomic handle provides leverage, and the brand says the compact design allows one-handed operation and bending in narrow spaces.
The tool measures about 19.1 x 5.5 x 5.5 in (485 x 140 x 140 mm). The listing gives the net weight as 49.4 lb (22.4 kg), which is heavy for a "hand tool", though that mass is part of what keeps it stable under load. Plan on bolting it down or clamping it to a bench if the manual advises.
What's in the box
The listing's package contents are one manual pipe tube bender, seven tube bender dies, seven rollers and an instruction manual.
Typical uses
VEVOR lists applications in sanitation, heating systems, underfloor heating, refrigeration, air conditioning and hydraulic systems. For HVAC and refrigeration work, bending a line instead of adding fittings means fewer joints, which in general means fewer places for leaks to develop. The tool serves both trade use and DIY.
Who it suits
It suits HVAC technicians, auto repair workers, plumbers and DIY builders who regularly shape small-diameter tubing and want a manual tool with no power supply. For larger pipe, square tube or very thick walls, a different bender would be needed.
What to check before you buy
- Pipe size and shape: confirm your tube is round, within 3/8" to 1" O.D. and up to 2 mm wall.
- Material: check the metal and its temper. Hard or thick tubing may resist bending.
- Bend radius: confirm the listed radii give the curve your job needs.
- Weight and mounting: this is a 22.4 kg tool, so think about where it will sit or clamp.
- Care: keep dies and rollers clean and follow the manual on lubrication and storage.
- Safety gear: use eye and hand protection and follow the instructions.
