The Creality Laser Engraver Enclosure is a foldable cover that goes around a desktop laser engraver or cutter. Laser work produces smoke, fumes and bright light, and a closed enclosure helps with all three: it contains the smoke, routes it out through a fan, and lets you watch the job through a filtered window.
Size and compatibility
Creality gives the interior as 720 x 720 x 400 mm (about 28.3 x 28.3 x 15.7 inches), and it says this suits most desktop engravers. The extra height also leaves room for a rotary roller attachment, which holds cylindrical objects such as tumblers.
The listed outer dimensions are 28.3 x 25.7 x 15.7 inches. The sure way to check fit is to measure your own machine at its full travel, including the cable routing, the air-assist pump and any riser or extension, and compare this with the interior.
Ventilation
A closed box only helps if the smoke goes somewhere. Creality says the upgraded exhaust fan runs at up to 4,000 rpm to pull smoke, particles and odours out quickly. In general, you connect an enclosure like this to a duct that leads outdoors, rather than venting into the room. Check the manual for the duct size and connector, and plan the route before you start.
Flame-retardant cloth and isolation
The inside is lined with flame-retardant cloth. Creality says it can withstand open flame for a few minutes without damage, and that the closed structure isolates 99% of smoke and odour. These are the brand's figures. An enclosure doesn't replace attention: laser cutting can start fires, so don't leave a running machine unattended, and keep a suitable extinguisher nearby.
The viewing window
A dual-view window lets you watch the engraving progress. Creality says it filters blue light and protects your eyes. Laser eye safety depends on the wavelength and power of your laser, so check the laser's own safety guidance and wear the eyewear it recommends.
Folding and setup
The enclosure folds flat for storage. Creality says setup takes only a few steps and that it is light enough to carry. That suits a shared garage, a small workshop or a spare room, where the machine doesn't stay out all the time.
Who it suits
It suits hobby makers and small-business crafters with a desktop diode laser, especially where the machine sits in a living area or shared space and smoke or odour is an issue.
What to check before you buy
- Machine fit: compare the interior size with your engraver's footprint and height, with all its attachments.
- Ventilation route: confirm that you can duct the exhaust fan to the outdoors and what hose you need.
- Power: check how the fan is powered and whether your setup has a spare outlet.
- Materials: know which materials give off hazardous fumes, and follow your laser's manual.
- Space around it: leave room for access, airflow and the folded-up storage.
The short version
- A foldable enclosure for desktop laser engravers and cutters.
- 720 x 720 x 400 mm interior, with room for a rotary roller.
- Exhaust fan rated at up to 4,000 rpm.
- Flame-retardant lining and a dual-view window that filters blue light, according to Creality.
- Needs a plan for venting outdoors and for laser safety.
