The Redragon GC218M is a mid-tower PC case for Micro-ATX and ITX motherboards, built around a back-mounted layout. The motherboard connectors face the rear so the cables run out of sight, and two tempered glass panels give a view of the parts. It is for builders who want a tidy, display-style build in a fairly compact case.

What back-mounted means

In a conventional case, the motherboard connectors face the visible side and the cables have to be routed carefully to hide them. A back-mounted (or reverse-connector) design turns the board so the ports and cable headers sit on the far side. Redragon describes this as a "zero-cable" look and lists 26mm of cable management space behind the board. In practice, the components are visible and the cabling is tucked into the rear compartment. Cable routing in a layout like this can be fiddly, and it generally helps to plan the routes before installing parts.

Panoramic glass

The case has two translucent tempered glass panels that Redragon describes as a 270° view with diamond-cut angles. Tempered glass is heavier than acrylic and resists scratches better. Redragon also says the glass dampens sound. A snap-on panel gives quick, tool-free access.

Component clearances

The listing gives the limits that matter when choosing parts:

  • Motherboards: Micro-ATX and ITX.
  • Graphics cards: up to 425mm (16.73 in), which Redragon says covers an RTX 4090.
  • CPU coolers: up to 170mm (6.69 in) tall.
  • Liquid coolers: top-mounted radiators up to 360mm.
  • Power supplies: up to 250mm (9.84 in) long.

Measure the parts you already own against these figures. Card length, cooler height and radiator thickness are the common sources of a poor fit, so check the manual for any extra clearance notes.

Airflow and dust filters

Two 120mm fans come pre-installed, and the case can take up to nine. Redragon lists a dedicated ventilation channel for the power supply, a vertical airflow path and perforated panels for intake. Magnetic dust filters with 0.8mm density sit on the top, and they lift off without tools for cleaning. Dust filters generally trade a little airflow for cleaner components, so a periodic wipe or rinse is the usual upkeep.

Size

The case measures 17.0 x 8.6 x 16.3 inches (about 43 x 22 x 41 cm). That is a mid-tower height with a slim depth, which suits a desktop where width is limited.

Who it suits

It suits builders putting together a Micro-ATX or ITX gaming or workstation PC who like a display build and want a clean look without visible cables. It is not for full-size ATX boards.

What to check before you buy

  • Motherboard size: only Micro-ATX and ITX are listed.
  • Graphics card length and cooler height: compare with 425mm and 170mm.
  • Power supply: confirm its length fits within 250mm and that the type is compatible, per the manual.
  • Radiator and fan plans: check the top radiator size and fan positions.
  • Cabling: ensure your cables are long enough for a back-mounted layout, and that the front-panel connectors suit your board.
  • What's in the box: two fans are included; extras are not.

The short version

  • A Micro-ATX/ITX mid-tower with a back-mounted, rear-cable layout.
  • Two tempered glass panels for a 270° view.
  • Two 120mm fans pre-installed, up to nine supported, and top magnetic dust filters.
  • Clearances: GPU 425mm, cooler 170mm, PSU 250mm, top radiator 360mm.
  • Measures 17.0 x 8.6 x 16.3 inches.
