The Blackview BV7300 is a rugged Android phone built for work sites and time outdoors. It pairs a very large 15,000mAh battery with a sealed, drop-certified body and two built-in camping lights on the back. It is aimed at people who are hard on their phones or spend long stretches away from a power outlet.

What the rugged certifications mean

Blackview lists both IP68 and IP69K sealing, plus MIL-STD-810H drop certification. IP68 generally means the phone is sealed against dust and can be submerged; the brand quotes waterproofing to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. IP69K is a stricter test that covers high-pressure, high-temperature water jets, which is why it appears on tools used in washdown settings. MIL-STD-810H is a US military test standard covering things like drops, vibration and temperature. Blackview says the phone withstands drops from 5 metres. These are the brand's figures, and certifications describe test conditions rather than a guarantee against every kind of damage.

A 15,000mAh battery and 45W charging

Most mainstream phones carry roughly 4,000 to 5,500mAh, so a 15,000mAh cell is about three times the usual capacity. The practical result is typically several days between charges with moderate use, though a larger battery also means a thicker, heavier phone. Blackview lists 45W fast charging and OTG support, which lets the phone power small accessories over USB. It also describes a charging-protection feature that pauses at 80% overnight to reduce battery wear.

Camping lights and the night-vision camera

Two built-in lights, which Blackview describes as 800 lighting beads, can be switched on from the tool bag or a shortcut button. There are three modes and three brightness levels, and they can also act as an SOS signal or a fill light for photos. The rear cameras include a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 20MP night-vision camera for low light. The front camera is 32MP. Night-vision modes in this class of phone usually rely on the lights and sensor sensitivity, so results depend on how much light is available.

Performance, memory and storage

The phone uses an octa-core MediaTek Helio G81 processor with Android 14 and Blackview's Doke OS 4.0. Memory is listed as up to 18GB, which Blackview says is 6GB of physical RAM plus 12GB of virtual memory. Virtual memory borrows storage space to keep more apps open and is not as fast as physical RAM. Internal storage is 256GB, and a microSD card slot supports up to 2TB (the card is not included). The 6.67-inch HD+ screen refreshes at 90Hz, reaches 700 nits and has a glove mode for touch input with work gloves.

Connectivity and network bands

The BV7300 is a dual-SIM phone with NFC, fingerprint and face unlock, and GPS with BeiDou, GLONASS and Galileo. The two card slots take two nano SIMs, or one nano SIM and one microSD card. The listing states that it supports 4G, works with T-Mobile but not AT&T SIM cards, and gives a full list of 4G, 3G and 2G bands. There is no 5G listed.

Who it suits

It suits trades, field work, camping and hiking, and anyone who wants a long-lasting phone with a tough shell. It is less suited to people who want a slim, light phone or the newest processor.

What to check before you buy

  • Your carrier: compare the listed bands with the ones your network uses, and confirm it works with your provider.
  • Size and weight: a 15,000mAh rugged phone is bulkier than a standard one, so check it is comfortable to carry.
  • SIM and storage: a SIM card and microSD card are not included.
  • Charger and cable: confirm what comes in the box if you want to use 45W charging.
  • Warranty: the seller states a two-year guarantee; read its terms.
