The ASUS TUF Gaming GT502 is an ATX full tower PC case with tempered glass panels, a dual-chamber layout and room for liquid cooling. It is meant for builders who want to show off their hardware, keep cables tidy and have flexible cooling. Here is what its features mean for a build.

The dual-chamber layout

The inside of the GT502 is split into two chambers: the main chamber and a rear chamber. ASUS says this lets you build a cleaner system and set up independent cooling zones for the CPU and GPU. In general, dual-chamber cases place components such as the power supply and cables in a separate compartment, which hides clutter and can keep their heat away from the main airflow path.

Showing off the build

Tempered glass panels at the front and the side give a tinted view of the main chamber. Tempered glass is typically more scratch resistant than acrylic and usually feels more premium, though it is heavier and needs careful handling. An included ARGB hub controls addressable RGB lighting, and the front panel has an RGB button for changing the effects.

Graphics card mounting

The case supports two orientations for the graphics card. You can install it in the usual horizontal position directly in the motherboard slot, using the bundled support bracket to reduce sag on heavy cards. Or you can use the included vertical mount to stand the card up so its fans and design face the glass. A vertical mount needs space and good airflow in front of the card, so check the manual about clearances.

Cooling options

The listing gives support for 360mm and 280mm radiators, used in all-in-one or custom liquid cooling loops. A bigger radiator generally gives more surface area for cooling. Fan and radiator positions, and how large a radiator each position takes, are listed in the manual, so confirm where your chosen cooler fits.

Tool-free access and front connectivity

The side panels come off by pressing a button hidden at the rear of the chassis, with no screwdriver needed. The front panel has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports and the RGB button. A Type-C port on the case needs a matching header on the motherboard, so check that your board has one.

Size

The case measures about 15.0 x 21.9 x 20.7 inches (38 x 56 x 53 cm) and weighs 23.1 lb (about 10.5 kg) empty. It is a full tower, so it needs a fair amount of desk or floor space.

Who it suits

It suits builders who want a large case for a gaming or workstation PC, like a visible build, plan to use liquid cooling, and want to experiment with how the graphics card is mounted. It is probably more case than someone building a small, simple system needs.

What to check before you buy

  • Size and weight: measure the space where it will sit, and remember it will weigh more once built.
  • Motherboard: confirm that your board is a supported size and has a USB Type-C front-panel header if you want to use that port.
  • Graphics card length: check the maximum card length in the manual, especially with a vertical mount.
  • Radiator and fans: confirm which positions fit a 360mm or 280mm radiator with your motherboard and memory.
  • What's included: check which fans, brackets and mounts come in the box.
  • Glass care: tempered glass panels need careful handling when you remove them.
