The Yeedi C12 is a robot vacuum and mop that cleans on a schedule or on demand, mapping the home as it goes. It is aimed at people who want routine floor care handled automatically, including homes with pets or long hair. Here is what its main specs mean in practice.
What 8000Pa suction means
Pascals (Pa) measure suction pressure. Higher numbers generally mean the vacuum can lift more from carpet fibres and crevices, though real results also depend on brush design, airflow and the floor type. Yeedi says the C12 uses a new high-speed motor and a straight-through dust path to reduce suction loss, and that it boosts suction for carpets and picks up large debris.
The anti-tangle brush
Hair wrapping around the roller is the main upkeep chore with robot vacuums. Yeedi's ZeroTangle design combines dual comb teeth arrays, which guide airflow, with a roller brush that has 21-degree flat bristles and outward-rotating angled bristles. The brand quotes a tangling rate as low as 0%, which is a figure from the manufacturer's own testing. Even with a good design, it is wise to check the brush now and then and clear it as the manual describes.
Laser mapping and navigation
The C12 uses what Yeedi calls TrueMapping: 360-degree laser ranging that scans the room, with a stated close-range accuracy of within 10 mm and an 8-minute fast mapping run. It then cleans in a bow-shaped (back-and-forth) pattern to cover the floor systematically. Laser navigation typically works in dim light, unlike camera-only systems.
Sensors, obstacles and carpets
Four down-view sensors detect drops such as stairs. The robot can climb over thresholds up to 20 mm (about 0.8 inch). Carpet recognition lets it adjust to the surface, which Yeedi says helps avoid leaving marks on carpet when mopping.
Battery and run time
A 5200mAh battery gives up to 300 minutes of running time on a single charge, according to the brand. The robot recharges itself when the battery runs low. Run time shrinks at higher suction levels, so the figure is best read as a maximum.
App control and modes
The app offers four suction levels, water volume settings and two cleaning modes, plus custom cleaning modes and map editing. Note that the C12 supports only 2.4GHz WiFi; 5GHz networks are not supported, which matters if your router combines both bands under one name.
Who it suits
It suits small to medium homes with a mix of hard floors and low carpet, and households that want regular automatic cleaning. It measures 13.9 x 13.8 x 3.8 inches (about 35 x 35 x 9.7 cm).
What to check before you buy
- WiFi band: make sure your home network offers 2.4GHz.
- Thresholds: doorsteps above 20 mm may block it.
- Carpet type: very thick or high-pile rugs may need a closer look at the manual.
- Clearing the floor: cables, socks and small objects are best picked up before a run.
- Upkeep: plan to empty the dust bin, clean the brush and replace filters and brushes as the manual advises.
- Mop use: check how the mopping function is meant to be used on your flooring.
