The dreame D10 Plus Gen 2 (model RLD32GD) is a robot vacuum and mop that comes with a self-emptying base. It maps your home with LiDAR, cleans on a schedule you set in an app, and empties its own dustbin into a bag in the base so you do not have to do it after every run.
The self-emptying base
After a clean, the robot returns to the base, which pulls the dust out of the robot's bin into a 4 L dust bag. dreame says that is enough for up to 90 days of cleaning, though the real interval depends on how much dirt your home produces and how often it runs. The bag also keeps dust contained, so you are not tipping a bin out each time.
What 6000 Pa suction means
Pascals (Pa) measure suction pressure, and a higher figure typically means a stronger pull on dirt, though brush design and airflow matter too. dreame rates this model at 6000 Pa with its Vormax suction, and offers four suction levels so you can use less power on hard floors and more on carpet.
For carpets and pet hair, it has a floating rubber brush. dreame says it lifts dust effectively while reducing tangling. Rubber brushes of this kind generally collect hair less than bristle brushes do.
Vacuuming and mopping
It is a 2-in-1 machine. A 150 ml clean water tank feeds the mop, with three water flow settings. dreame also says the high-capacity dust box captures dirt and prevents leaks and odours. A small tank means mopping suits modest areas or top-up cleaning rather than a whole large floor in one go.
LiDAR mapping and obstacle avoidance
LiDAR navigation uses a spinning laser to measure the room, so the robot builds a map and follows an organised path instead of bouncing around. dreame calls its system Smart Pathfinder and says the maps are editable and the robot steers around obstacles.
In the Dreamehome app you can set up multi-floor maps, no-mop zones to protect delicate areas such as rugs, and virtual boundaries. The robot connects over Wi-Fi.
Size
The listing gives dimensions of 17.8 x 14.0 x 16.8 inches (about 45 x 36 x 43 cm), which appear to cover the robot with its base.
Who it suits
It suits households with a mix of hard floors and carpet, or pets, that want regular automatic cleaning with little emptying.
What to check before you buy
- Space for the base. It needs a wall-side spot with clear room around it and a power socket.
- Floors. Check your floor types, thresholds and rug height against the manual.
- Bags. The base uses dust bags. Check how replacements are supplied.
- Water tank. The 150 ml tank is small. Check it fits your mopping needs.
- Wi-Fi. Check your home network supports the app setup.
- Clutter. Cables and small items can still cause problems for any robot vacuum.
The short version
- A robot vacuum and mop with a self-emptying base and a 4 L dust bag, up to 90 days by dreame's figures.
- 6000 Pa suction with four levels and a floating rubber brush.
- LiDAR mapping, obstacle avoidance and app-controlled no-mop zones.
- A 150 ml water tank with three flow settings.
