The Roborock Saros 20 is a slim robot vacuum and mop paired with a dock that washes the mops and empties the dustbin. It is built around three ideas: getting over obstacles on the floor, fitting under low furniture, and needing little attention day to day.
Climbing and carpets
Roborock's AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 raises the body of the robot as it goes, so it can cross thresholds and uneven floors without losing suction. The brand lists double-layer steps up to 3.46 in and carpets up to 1.18 in deep. Thresholds are a frequent stopping point for robot vacuums, so measure your own door tracks against these figures.
Fitting under furniture
The ultra-slim design glides under sofas and beds as low as 3.13 in, Roborock says. This matters because dust and pet hair gather where cleaning by hand is awkward.
Navigation and obstacles
StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 uses 3D time-of-flight (ToF) sensors to build maps in real time. An RGB camera then recognizes more than 300 obstacles, according to the listing. In general, the goal is fewer interruptions and smoother routes, with the robot avoiding clutter instead of pushing it around.
Suction and hair
A 36,000 Pa digital motor provides the suction. Pascals measure suction pressure, and a higher number typically means a stronger pull from deep floor gaps. A dual anti-tangle system handles hair buildup automatically, which reduces how often you need to cut hair off the brush.
Edges and corners
FlexiArm technology extends the side brush and mop to reach corners, edges and under furniture. You can mark curtains in the app, and the robot cleans behind them.
The RockDock
The brand-new RockDock has a one-piece cleaning tray that Roborock says improves mop coverage and water capacity, for deeper washing and quieter operation. The dock washes mops with 212°F hot water, dries them with 131°F air, cleans itself and empties dust automatically for up to 65 days.
App, voice and camera
The Roborock app includes SmartPlan 3.0, which learns your home and routines, plus voice control and smart mapping. A built-in RGB camera lets you check on pets. The listing says the robot supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi.
Size
The listing gives 15.0 x 18.7 x 19.2 in and 27.1 lb for the package.
Who it suits
It suits homes with thresholds, varied flooring and low furniture, as well as pet owners who want hair handled with little maintenance.
What to check before you buy
- Floor transitions: compare your thresholds and carpet pile with the listed limits.
- Furniture height: measure the clearance under your sofas and beds against 3.13 in.
- Dock location: pick a spot near an outlet with room around it.
- Camera use: read how the camera and pet check-in work and who can view them.
- Upkeep: check the manual for water, dust bags, brushes and mop pads.
- Loose items: clear cables and small objects before cleaning.
