The Roborock Qrevo S is a robot vacuum and mop that comes with a multifunction dock. The dock empties the dustbin, washes and dries the mops and refills the robot's water tank, so day-to-day cleaning needs very little hands-on work. Here is what its specifications mean and who it is likely to suit.
What the dock does
The dock is the main difference between this and a basic robot vacuum. Roborock says it empties the robot automatically and can run hands-free for up to 7 weeks. The 5L water tank refills the robot's own tank and, according to the brand, covers a mopping area of up to 4,305 sq ft.
After mopping, the dock washes the mops automatically, then dries them with hot air. Drying matters because damp mop pads left sitting can develop odours. Because the dock handles washing and drying, you avoid scrubbing the pads yourself.
What 7000Pa suction means in practice
Pascals (Pa) measure suction pressure. A higher figure generally means the motor can pull more air through the brush and bin, which helps with embedded dust on carpet and debris in floor gaps. Brands measure Pa under their own conditions, so compare the number with care across makers. Roborock pairs the suction with a multi-directional floating brush, which it says follows the floor and reduces hair tangling.
Mopping: spinning pads and lifting
Two spinning mops turn at 200 RPM, which Roborock says helps with dried-on spills as well as fresh ones. Thirty water-flow levels can be adjusted in the app, so you can use less water on sensitive floors and more on tile.
A mop-lifting feature raises the pads by 10mm. Lifting means the robot can move from hard floor to carpet without the damp pads touching the carpet. The mops also lift when it returns to the dock.
Navigation and mapping
The robot uses PreciSense LiDAR navigation, which scans the room with a laser to build a map. It also has obstacle avoidance, which Roborock says detects hazards in its path so it can steer around them. In general, laser mapping lets a robot clean in tidy rows and resume where it stopped, rather than bouncing randomly.
App control
In the app you can view the home map in 3D and save up to four floor maps for multi-level homes. Other listed features include restricted areas, carpet-specific strategies, and temporary cleaning or skipping of a room. Roborock notes the robot supports 2.4G Wi-Fi only and is rated for 100V to 120V.
Who it suits
It suits households with a mix of hard floors and carpet, or anyone who wants vacuuming and mopping on a schedule with little attention. The dock is sizeable, so it needs a permanent spot.
What to check before you buy
- Space for the dock: the listing gives about 13.4 x 19.2 x 20.5 in and 25.5 lb for the unit, so check where it will sit and that the robot can reach it.
- Wi-Fi: confirm your home network offers 2.4G, since 5G-only is not supported.
- Floors: check which floor types are in your home and how you want carpets handled.
- Thresholds and clutter: cables, small items and high door sills can still stop any robot.
- Upkeep: plan for emptying the water tanks, replacing bags and filters and cleaning the brushes, as the manual describes.
