The Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro is a robot vacuum and mop that comes with a multifunction dock. It maps your home, vacuums and mops in the same run, then returns to the dock to wash its mops and empty its dustbin. The aim is a floor that stays clean with very little hands-on work.

Getting over thresholds and carpets

Roborock's AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 raises the body of the robot when it meets an obstacle. The brand says it climbs single-layer thresholds up to 1.77 in and double-layer thresholds up to 3.46 in, and handles carpet up to 1.81 in thick, with the mops detaching automatically on carpet. A low profile helps too: Roborock lists 3.13 in of clearance for getting under beds and sofas. A tall step is a common stopping point for robot vacuums, so these figures are worth comparing with your own door tracks.

How it sees and maps

A retractable laser distance sensor (LDS) scans 360° to build the map. It is combined with structured light, an RGB camera and VertiBeam Lateral Obstacle Avoidance, and Roborock says the robot recognizes more than 300 obstacles. In practice, this kind of system is meant to steer around cables, shoes and furniture legs rather than bump into them.

Suction and hair

The listing gives 36,000 Pa suction from a digital motor. Pascals measure suction pressure, and a higher figure typically helps with embedded dust and pet hair, particularly on carpet. A Dual Zero-Tangle System is listed with a 0% hair tangling rate, which is intended to reduce brush cleaning in homes with long hair or pets.

Reaching edges and corners

FlexiArm Technology extends the side brush and mop toward walls, corners and furniture legs, and Roborock says it achieves 100% edge and corner coverage. You can also mark curtains in the app, and the robot will clean behind them.

Warm water mopping

The mop spins at 200 RPM and presses down with up to 14 N of force, with warm water to help with sticky spills and dried stains. The brand says the new mop design locks in moisture to leave less water residue.

The dock

Roborock describes a 10-in-1 dock. It washes the mops with 212°F hot water, cleans itself with hot water, refills the robot with warm water, dispenses detergent automatically, dries the mops with 131°F air and empties the dustbin automatically for up to 65 days.

Software and Wi-Fi

SmartPlan 3.0 learns your cleaning habits and picks a cleaning strategy. The app also includes a Pet Care Hub, automatic re-cleaning of missed areas, closed-door avoidance, voice control and scheduling. The listing notes that the robot supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only.

Who it suits

It suits larger homes with a mix of hard floors and carpet, pet households, and anyone who wants mopping and dust emptying handled with minimal effort.

What to check before you buy

  • Wi-Fi: the robot works only on 2.4GHz networks, so check your router settings.
  • Floor heights: compare the threshold and carpet figures with the steps and rugs in your home.
  • Dock space: the dock and robot together weigh 31.7 lb and the listing gives 19.5 x 15.8 x 17.7 in, so leave room against a wall with a power outlet and nearby space for water handling.
  • Furniture clearance: measure the gap under your lowest furniture against the 3.13 in figure.
  • Upkeep: check the manual for water tanks, detergent, dust bags and brushes.
  • Rugs and fringes: tidy cables and loose items before running it.
