The ECOVACS DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI is a robot vacuum and mop that uses a rolling mop instead of the usual flat pads. Combined with a self-cleaning base station and LiDAR navigation, it aims to handle both vacuuming and mopping with little input. This page explains the main features.

A roller mop that washes as it works

Many robot mops use spinning or flat pads that are cleaned only when the robot returns to its base. ECOVACS describes the OZMO Roller differently: it says the roller self-washes instantly while mopping, so the mop surface stays fresh instead of spreading dirty water. The same extended roller and a side brush reach edges and gaps for what the brand calls full edge-to-edge coverage.

Suction and airflow

ECOVACS rates suction at 16,600Pa and says BLAST Airflow adds 38% more airflow, with 137.6% better carpet cleaning. These are the brand's comparisons. Suction in pascals and airflow together affect how well a robot lifts dust from carpet.

ZeroTangle 3.0

Hair wrapping is the most common upkeep complaint with robot vacuums. ECOVACS says ZeroTangle 3.0 uses a V-shaped roller brush and anti-tangle side brushes to prevent hair buildup, which matters for long-haired households and pet owners.

Triple Lift System

On mixed floors, the robot adapts to the surface. ECOVACS lists three actions:

  • the mop lifts on carpet to keep it dry;
  • the side brush raises for large debris;
  • the main brush lifts to avoid contamination from spills.

The OMNI Station

The station auto-refills, washes the mop with hot water, dries it and dispenses cleaning solution. ECOVACS says it keeps the robot maintained for up to 150 days, and that you mainly refill the clean water tank and empty the dirty one. That 150-day figure is the brand's, and actual intervals will depend on how much you clean.

AIVI 3D 3.0 and LiDAR mapping handle navigation, real-time obstacle avoidance and dirt detection. The robot works with Alexa-style voice assistants, Google Assistant and Matter, and has the YIKO-GPT assistant for voice or app commands.

Size

The unit measures 13.8 x 21.0 x 15.9 inches and weighs 27.6 lb (about 12.5 kg) as listed.

Who it suits

It suits larger homes with mixed floors, pet owners, and anyone who wants mopping that doesn't depend on pad washing at the end of a run.

What to check before you buy

  • Floor types: check the mix of carpet and hard flooring, and thresholds between rooms.
  • Space: the station needs an outlet and open floor in front of it.
  • Water tanks: clean and dirty tanks need regular refilling and emptying.
  • Upkeep: rollers, brushes and filters wear, so check replacements in the manual.
  • Clearance: compare the robot's height with your furniture.
  • Smart home: confirm which assistants you use are supported.
