The ECOVACS DEEBOT T80S Omni is a robot vacuum and mop that uses a rolling mop rather than the flat pads many rivals have. It comes with an OMNI Dock that empties dust, washes the roller and dries it. ECOVACS positions it for homes with pets, long hair and mixed flooring.

Suction

ECOVACS rates the suction at 24,800Pa. Pascals measure pressure difference, and higher figures generally mean a stronger pull on dust, crumbs and pet hair, although brush and airflow design also matter. The brand says this helps it clear debris from carpets and hard floors with fewer repeat passes.

The OZMO Roller

Instead of a spinning pad, the T80S has an OZMO Roller that ECOVACS says self-cleans continuously while scrubbing. The idea is that fresh water keeps reaching the floor, which reduces dirty-water transfer, streaks and residue on hard floors, according to the brand.

Triple Lift for wet and dry

The Triple Lift system switches behaviour depending on what it meets:

  • when it detects liquid, it lifts its brushes and switches to mop-only cleaning;
  • on carpet, the roller lifts up to 0.6 inches to help keep fibres dry;
  • this separation is meant to reduce cross-contamination between wet and dry messes.

Edges and hair

TruEdge Deep-Edge Cleaning extends the roller towards edges and corners, so it cleans closer along walls, skirting boards and furniture legs. Round robots commonly leave those areas behind.

ZeroTangle 3.0 is ECOVACS's anti-tangle brush design. It is meant to reduce hair wrapping so suction stays consistent with less manual detangling.

The OMNI Dock

The dock empties dust automatically, washes the mop with hot water and dries it with 145°F (63°C) hot air. ECOVACS says this helps reduce lingering moisture and odour and keeps routine maintenance minimal for up to 150 days. A damp roller left sitting is where smells usually begin, which is why the drying step matters.

Slim and able to climb

The body is 3.86 inches tall, so it can reach under beds, sofas and other low furniture. It crosses thresholds of up to 20mm (about 0.8 inches), which helps it move between rooms. The listed dimensions are about 13.3 x 18.1 x 19.7 inches.

Who it suits

It suits homes with a mix of hard floors and carpets, pets or long hair, and people who want a dock to handle routine upkeep.

What to check before you buy

  • Furniture clearance: compare your lowest furniture with the 3.86-inch height.
  • Thresholds: check any raised sills against the 20mm limit.
  • Carpet: read the manual on how it treats rugs and carpets of different pile.
  • Dock space: it needs an outlet and room around it.
  • Consumables: find out which dust bags, filters, rollers and cleaning solution it uses.
  • Water tanks: clean and dirty tanks still need regular attention.
  • App and Wi-Fi: confirm the network requirements in the manual.
