The ECOVACS DEEBOT T30S is a robot vacuum and mop that comes with an all-in-one base station. It vacuums, mops and then looks after itself, emptying its bin and washing its mop. This page explains what its main features mean.
Suction
ECOVACS rates the T30S at 11,000Pa of suction, driven by what it calls an advanced motor and airflow design. Pascals measure the pulling force of the motor; higher figures generally help with carpets, though brush design and floor type matter too.
Edge and corner mopping
TruEdge Adaptive Edge Mopping uses a hovering arm and algorithms to push the mop toward walls and corners. ECOVACS says this achieves 1 mm accuracy and 99% coverage in hard-to-reach areas. Because round robots naturally leave corners untouched, edge reach is one of the more useful specs to compare.
Tangle-free brush
ZeroTangle is the brand's anti-tangle brush technology. ECOVACS says it stops human and pet hair from wrapping on the main brush, which typically reduces how often you need to cut hair off.
Mop washing and re-mopping
The OMNI Station provides 158°F hot-water mop washing, self-emptying, automatic water refilling and hot-air drying. The robot can also rewash its mop and re-mop sticky areas. Hot water generally helps loosen residue from the mop, and drying reduces the chance of musty smells between runs, though the manual describes how often to empty tanks.
Navigation
TrueDetect 3D 3.0 handles obstacle avoidance and TrueMapping 2.0 maps the home quickly, according to ECOVACS. The aim is fewer stuck robots and less risk of bumping furniture.
Control
You can start cleaning by voice ("OK YIKO") or with a foot touch on the robot. ECOVACS also lists support for smartphone widgets, Dynamic Island and a smartwatch, and for Alexa voice control.
Battery and size
Runtime is up to 180 minutes, with fast charging. The listing gives dimensions of 15.6 x 17.5 x 20.8 inches and a weight of 32.8 lb (about 14.9 kg), including the station.
Who it suits
It suits households with mixed flooring that want an automated station, and anyone who wants less manual work emptying bins and rinsing mop pads.
What to check before you buy
- Floors: check your flooring and any rugs, thresholds or cables on the floor.
- Station space: it needs an outlet and room around it.
- Water: clean and dirty tanks need refilling and emptying.
- Clearance: check the robot's height against low furniture.
- Smart home: confirm the control methods you want are supported on your phone.
- Upkeep: brushes, pads and filters wear; check the manual.
