dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller robot vacuum and mop: features and who it suits

A robot vacuum with a roller mop that is kept wet with clean water, 30,000 Pa suction and a self-cleaning dock. What the Aqua10 Ultra Roller's specs mean at home.

The dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller is a robot vacuum and mop built around a roller mop rather than spinning pads. Its AquaRoll system keeps feeding clean water to the roller while it works, and an all-in-one PowerDock takes care of emptying, roller washing and refilling. Here is what its features mean for everyday floor care.

How the AquaRoll roller mop works

Many robot mops wipe the floor with a damp cloth or a pair of rotating pads, which gradually pick up dirty water as they go. The Aqua10 Ultra Roller uses a rotating cylinder instead. dreame says it continuously sprays clean water onto the roller and collects the dirty water, so the floor is mopped with fresh water throughout the run.

Behind the roller sits a FluffRoll module that spins in the opposite direction, faster than the roller itself. Its job is to keep the roller clean while it works, and dreame says this improves cleaning along floor seams, where grime tends to collect between boards or tiles.

Carpets, rugs and thresholds

Wet mops and carpets don't mix well, so the robot changes how it behaves when it reaches one. The AutoSeal roller guard closes automatically and the chassis lifts by 0.55 inches (about 14 mm). The aim is to keep the damp roller away from the pile, so carpets and rugs don't get wet.

Getting onto rugs and across doorways is the job of the FlexRise air suspension, which dreame says tackles obstacles up to 3.15 inches (about 8 cm), such as thresholds, rug edges and transitions between rooms.

Suction and hair

dreame gives the Vormax suction as 30,000 Pa. Suction figures in pascals describe the pressure difference the motor creates, and each brand measures them in its own way, so treat them as a rough guide to power rather than a precise comparison. For pet hair and long hair, the HyperStream DuoBrush is designed to detangle hair, so it doesn't wrap around the brushes and clog them.

OmniSight 2.0 combines an auto-retracting LDS sensor with binocular vision. An LDS, or laser distance sensor, measures distances to map the rooms; a sensor that retracts lets the robot lower its profile, which typically helps it reach under low furniture. dreame says the system identifies and avoids more than 240 kinds of objects, which can mean less tidying before each run.

What the PowerDock does

The dock takes over most routine upkeep. According to dreame, it:

  • auto-empties the robot, for up to 100 days;
  • deep-cleans the roller at 212°F (100°C);
  • dries the roller with hot air;
  • refills the robot with water and cleaning solution.

Drying matters with any mop: a mop left damp between runs tends to develop a musty smell, and a dock that dries it automatically saves a chore.

Voice control and Wi-Fi

Saying "OK Dreame" starts voice control without reaching for a phone. You can start a customised clean, prioritise carpet cleaning, boost suction or lift the roller, and there is a pet-friendly care mode (version 4.0). The robot connects over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only and is intended for use in the US. Most home routers broadcast a 2.4 GHz band alongside 5 GHz, but some mesh systems need it switched on separately during set-up.

Who it suits

It suits homes with a mix of hard floors and rugs, raised thresholds between rooms, and pets that shed. The dock is aimed at people who would rather not rinse and dry mops by hand.

What to check before you buy

  • Space for the dock: measure the spot, including clear floor in front of it for the robot to drive in.
  • Thresholds: check that door sills and rug edges are within the 3.15-inch climbing figure.
  • Wi-Fi: confirm your network offers a 2.4 GHz band.
  • Upkeep: dust bags, cleaning solution and replacement rollers are ongoing consumables; check they are easy to get where you live.
  • Region: dreame states this model is for US use only.

The short version

  • A robot vacuum and mop whose roller mop is continuously sprayed with clean water while the dirty water is collected.
  • 30,000 Pa suction and a DuoBrush designed to detangle hair.
  • An AutoSeal guard and a 0.55-inch lift keep carpets dry; FlexRise climbs obstacles up to 3.15 inches.
  • The PowerDock auto-empties, washes the roller at 212°F, dries it with hot air and refills water and solution.
  • Voice control with "OK Dreame"; 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, US use only.
