The VEVOR X6 is an electric airless paint sprayer on a small stand. It pushes paint through a spray gun at high pressure, so you can cover walls, fences, furniture and sheds faster than with a brush or roller. Here is what the specs mean for a home project.
What "airless" means
An airless sprayer pumps paint at high pressure through a small tip, which breaks it into a fine spray without needing a separate air supply. VEVOR says its piston pump can spray unthinned paint, so you can draw it straight from the bucket. Compared with brushing, spraying usually covers large areas faster, but it needs more preparation, such as masking and protecting nearby surfaces.
Motor, pressure and flow
The 650W (7/8 HP) motor runs on 110V 60Hz. VEVOR gives a maximum pressure of 2900PSI (200 bar) and a maximum flow of 0.24GPM (1.1L/min). A control valve knob adjusts output pressure from 500PSI to 2900PSI. VEVOR says this helps limit overspray and cut paint waste by up to 55%. Its recommended annual usage is 125 gallons, which points to home projects rather than daily professional work.
The 517 tip and spray pattern
The spray gun comes with a 517 tip. The first digit of a tip code usually refers to fan width and the last two digits to orifice size. VEVOR lists a 0 to 50° spray angle, a spray range of 10 to 12 inches (25 to 30 cm) and a 0.017 inch (0.43 mm) tip diameter. Thinner coatings generally suit smaller tips, so check the paint's label.
Reach and hose
A 11.8 inch (30 cm) aluminium extension rod helps with ceilings, soffits, high walls and decks. The 1/4 inch NPSM hose is 24.6 feet (7.5 m) long. VEVOR says the sprayer handles water-based and oil-based paints, including latex, chalk paint, stain, sealer and varnish, so check the manual for each material.
Cleaning
You flush water or solvent through the system until the paint or stain is gone, depending on what you sprayed. A cleaning kit has brushes, a needle and two wrenches. Thorough cleaning matters with airless sprayers, because dried paint can block the tip and pump.
Size and weight
The product measures about 13.4 x 10.6 x 16.1 inches (34 x 27 x 41 cm) and weighs 16.1 lb (7.3 kg) net.
Who it suits
It suits homeowners tackling a whole room, fence or shed, and renters or DIYers who want a lighter sprayer for occasional use.
What to check before you buy
- Paint type: confirm that your coatings are allowed in the manual, especially solvent-based ones.
- Ventilation: spraying indoors needs good airflow, a respirator and masking of everything you don't want painted.
- Power: use an outlet and cord suited to the motor.
- Preparation: allow time for masking and cleaning.
- Safety: high-pressure spray can injure skin. Follow the manual and never point the gun at people.
- Tips and spares: check which replacement tips and filters you can get.
