The VEVOR WC3020 is a lockable steel cabinet that hangs on the wall. It moves tools and supplies off the floor and workbench and keeps them behind a door. Garages and workshops fill up quickly, and a wall cabinet uses space that is otherwise empty.
Size and capacity
The cabinet measures 30.31 x 12.01 x 19.69 inches (about 77 x 30.5 x 50 cm) and weighs 28.9 lb (about 13 kg) before anything goes in. VEVOR says each shelf holds up to 120 lb and gives a total load capacity of 240 lb. That is a lot for a wall cabinet, but the figure is only as good as the wall behind it. Always mount into studs or suitable masonry, as the manual instructs, and don't rely on drywall alone.
Rail-mount installation
The cabinet uses a rail-mount design. A rail is fixed to the wall first and the cabinet then hooks onto it, which VEVOR says gives a quick, flush installation. Rail systems typically make it easier to level the cabinet and to adjust its position, and lifting a loaded cabinet onto a rail is a two-person job.
Flip-up door
The sliding flip-up door opens 90 degrees and stays open while you work. VEVOR says this gives clear access and avoids bumping your head, which is a common annoyance with swing-out doors on cabinets mounted at head height. An open door that stays up also keeps the contents visible.
Lock
A built-in lock prevents accidental opening and helps keep contents out of casual reach. VEVOR suggests tools, supplies and small devices. A cabinet lock of this kind is generally for convenience and tidiness, not high security, and anything hazardous in a household should be stored as local guidance recommends.
Steel and finish
The body is thick SPCC cold-rolled steel with a powder-coated finish. VEVOR says the coating resists rust and corrosion. Cold-rolled steel is smooth and strong, and powder coating is typically tougher than ordinary paint. In a damp garage or basement, it is still sensible to wipe up spills and keep the finish unscratched.
Where it suits
VEVOR lists garages, basements, kitchens, warehouses and workshops. It suits anyone with a free stretch of wall who wants to put tools, paint, cleaning supplies, or small parts out of the way.
Assembly is required, so allow time to build the cabinet before hanging it.
What to check before you buy
- Wall type: confirm that the wall can take the cabinet and its contents, and use the correct anchors.
- Space around it: measure the clearance for the door when it flips up, and for a workbench underneath.
- Contents: check that your items fit within the shelf depth of about 12 inches.
- Mounting height: think about who needs to reach it.
- Keys: keep a spare set somewhere sensible.
- What's in the box: check the manual for the hardware supplied for the rail and for the wall.
