The VEVOR JY-SS2L is a small pressure-feed paint tank with a spray gun and 3 m hoses. It holds 2 litres (0.5 gal) of paint and uses compressed air to push the paint to the gun, which is how it differs from a gun with a cup attached. It suits home decorating, furniture and similar finishing jobs.

How a pressure pot works

In a pressure-feed system, air from a compressor goes into the sealed tank and pushes paint through a hose to the gun. Because the paint is pushed rather than drawn, the flow stays steady in any position, including upward when you paint ceilings. A separate air line goes straight to the gun to atomise the paint into a spray.

Capacity, weight and ports

The tank holds 2 L, and VEVOR gives the net weight as 4.1 lb (the listing's shipping weight is 4.2 lb). It stands about 15.2 inches tall on a 5-inch base. VEVOR says it is light enough to carry on the body, and that its small volume suits ceilings and other high places. The tank has a 1/4" inlet, a 1/4" outlet and a 3/8" fluid outlet port.

Pressure control and relief valve

The pressure is adjustable up to a 45 PSI maximum, with a knob and a gauge showing the real-time reading. VEVOR says the safety valve releases pressure automatically when it goes above 0.3 MPa. Whatever the valve, it is standard practice to release the pressure and read the manual before opening any pressure vessel.

Sealing and build

The pot is made of pressure-resistant metal, with a rubber sealing ring at the opening and four lid clamps. VEVOR says thread sealant is used to resist rust and leaks, and that each pot is water-tightness tested at the factory.

The spray gun

The included gun has a 1.8mm nozzle, which VEVOR says suits ordinary paints such as latex and metallic. Three knobs set air, paint flow and spray width for a fan pattern. There is one important note from the brand: latex paint needs a gun with a nozzle of 4mm or larger. Thicker coatings generally need a larger nozzle, and paint is often thinned to suit the gun, so follow the paint maker's guidance.

What you need to supply

The pot is used with your own air compressor, which the listing makes clear. Check its pressure and airflow against the gun's needs, and think about a moisture filter on the air line.

Who it suits

VEVOR positions it for home decoration: furniture, walls, fences, terraces and similar surfaces. People who already own a compressor and want a more even finish than a brush or roller are the likely users.

What to check before you buy

  • Compressor: confirm you have one, with fittings that match the 1/4" ports.
  • Paint type: check the nozzle size against the paint, particularly for latex.
  • Job size: 2 L is compact, so large jobs mean more refills.
  • Cleaning: plan time to flush the tank, hoses and gun after use.
  • Protection: use suitable masks, eye protection and ventilation, as the paint maker advises.

The short version

  • VEVOR JY-SS2L: a 2 L pressure-feed paint pot with a 1.8mm spray gun and 3 m hoses.
  • Adjustable up to 45 PSI, with a gauge and a relief valve rated at 0.3 MPa.
  • 1/4" inlet and outlet ports, a 3/8" fluid port and four lid clamps.
  • Needs your own air compressor; latex paint needs a 4mm or larger nozzle.
