The VEVOR CN65 is an air-powered coil nailer made for siding, fencing, decking, sheathing and pallet work. It takes nails collated in coils, so the magazine holds far more than a stick nailer and needs reloading less often. This page explains the specs, what an air tool needs to run, and what to check before choosing one.

What "15-degree coil" means

Coil nailers hold nails in a wire or plastic-collated coil, loaded into a round magazine. The 15-degree figure is the angle of the nails in the coil, and the nails must match the tool. VEVOR says the CN65 takes wire-collated coil nails from 1-1/4 to 2-1/2 inches and plastic-collated coil nails from 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 inches. Head diameter should be 5.5 to 5.9 mm, and shank diameter 2.3 to 2.5 mm.

Magazine capacity

The side-loading magazine holds up to 250 nails. In practice, a large magazine means fewer pauses on long runs of siding or fence boards.

Depth adjustment

A depth wheel turns by hand, with no tools needed, to set how far each nail is driven. Setting depth matters on different materials: softer wood or thin sheathing generally calls for a shallower setting to avoid over-driving. Testing on scrap before starting the job is standard practice.

Firing and handling features

VEVOR lists a bumper (bump) firing mode that allows rapid firing and, says the brand, reduces jamming and misfires. Other features:

  • 360° adjustable exhaust, to direct air away from the user.
  • Safety trigger switch.
  • Quick-release nose, for clearing jams.
  • Ergonomic body and anti-slip grip, designed to reduce hand fatigue.

The nailer weighs 6.7 lb (about 3 kg) and measures 12.4 x 11.2 x 5.1 inches.

Air supply

This is a pneumatic tool, so it needs an air compressor and hose. VEVOR gives the working range as 70 to 120 psi and says it is compatible with compressors of 15 gallons or larger. Check the compressor's output as well as its tank size, and use the pressure the manual recommends for the nails and wood.

Who it suits

The listing mentions wooden pallets, fences, packing boxes, decking, sheathing and siding, for both professional and home DIY use. It suits contractors and DIYers who already own a compressor and do repetitive nailing.

What to check before you buy

  • Nails: confirm your coil nails are 15°, and that their length, head and shank sizes are inside the listed ranges.
  • Compressor: check pressure, airflow and tank size against the 70 to 120 psi range.
  • Fittings: make sure your hose couplers fit, as the tool may need an air fitting.
  • Safety gear: wear eye and hearing protection and follow the manual on firing modes.
  • Upkeep: pneumatic tools typically need regular oiling; read the manual for the schedule.
  • Materials: be sure the nail length suits your siding or board thickness.
