The VEVOR 3-in-1 Electric Hoist Winch is a portable 110V winch for lifting and towing loads in workshops, garages, warehouses and building sites. VEVOR rates it at 1100 lb capacity and 25 feet of lift height, driven by a 1500W motor. It can be controlled three ways, which makes it flexible for different jobs.
Three ways to control it
The "3-in-1" refers to the control methods: manual control at the unit, a wired handle and a wireless remote. The package includes a pair of gloves, a wired handle, a wireless handle with its battery and two spare carbon brushes. A wired handle is simple and reliable, while a wireless remote lets the operator stand clear of the load and see it from a better position. Which is preferable depends on the job and the working space.
Capacity, speed and height
VEVOR lists a capacity of 1100 lb, a lift speed of 16 ft/min and a lift height of 25 feet. At 16 ft/min, a full 25 ft lift takes roughly a minute and a half. The winch uses a galvanized steel wire cable, which VEVOR says can lift or tow loads up to the rated limit. Treat the capacity as a ceiling, not a target, and always work well within it. Rated figures can also change with how the cable is reeved and how it is used, so read the manual.
The motor and gearbox
The motor is an all-copper design rated at 1500W. VEVOR describes it as highly efficient. The gearbox is high-strength aluminium, chosen to dissipate heat faster. Hoists are normally built for short, intermittent duty, not continuous running, so check the duty cycle in the manual and let the motor rest. VEVOR also notes that the winch should not be run unloaded the first time it is used, so follow that instruction.
Overload and limit protection
A limit switch automatically stops the hoist when it reaches the limit weight or position, which is intended to protect the unit. The upper and lower hooks are forged steel, rotate 360 degrees and have a safety latch to help prevent the load from slipping off. These features reduce risk but don't replace good practice. Inspect the cable, hooks and mounting points before each use, never stand under a suspended load, and follow the manual and local rules for lifting equipment.
Portability
The listing gives the weight as about 22 lb (21.0 lb in the product data) and the size as roughly 13.8 x 10.6 x 10.2 inches. The soft rubber handle is described as wear-resistant and slip-resistant. One person can typically carry a unit of this weight, so it can move between work areas. Mounting must be to a structure that can safely carry the load, which is the user's responsibility.
Where it is used
VEVOR suggests equipment lifting and towing jobs in factories, warehouses, garages and building sites. Typical examples include raising engines or machinery onto a bench, or hauling items up through an opening. It is not intended for lifting people.
What to check before you buy
- Load: weigh the heaviest item and keep well under the 1100 lb limit.
- Mounting point: make sure the beam or frame it hangs from is rated for the load.
- Power supply: it needs a 110V outlet that can supply 1500W.
- Height and cable: check that 25 ft of lift and the cable length suit the job.
- Duty cycle: read how long it can run before it needs a rest.
- Inspection and upkeep: check the cable, hooks, latch and brushes regularly, and follow local lifting rules and the manual.
The short version
- A portable 110V electric hoist winch with a 1500W copper motor.
- 1100 lb capacity, 16 ft/min lift speed and 25 ft lift height.
- Manual, wired and wireless control, with a limit switch and 360-degree forged hooks with safety latches.
- Mount it only to rated structures, and follow the manual.
