The VEVOR 210A is an inverter-based welder that combines high-frequency TIG, stick (MMA) welding and a clean mode in one compact unit. It runs on either 110V or 220V mains, so it can move between a home garage and a workshop with a different supply. Here is what its settings and specs mean for the kind of work it is built for.
Three modes in one machine
HF TIG starts the arc with a high-frequency signal instead of touching the tungsten to the metal, which typically keeps the electrode cleaner and makes starts easier. Stick (MMA) uses coated rods and is common for thicker or dirtier material and for outdoor work. The clean mode is intended for use after welding to tidy the weld area, as VEVOR describes it.
One detail matters here: for stick welding the listing says you need a welding handle (electrode holder), and it is not part of the package. The included parts are a torch, ground clamp, power cable and gas pipe.
What 210 amps and 5 mm mean
VEVOR gives the output as 210A and the maximum welding thickness as 0.2 in (5 mm). Amperage broadly sets how much metal the machine can melt. At this level, the machine is aimed at sheet and plate work rather than heavy structural steel. VEVOR lists stainless steel, iron, mild steel, copper and nickel as suitable metals. It does not list aluminium, which usually needs AC output, so check this if aluminium is on your list.
Rod sizes are given too. For TIG: 1/16 in (1.6 mm), 3/32 in (2.4 mm) and 1/8 in (3.2 mm). For stick: E6010, E6011, E7014 and E7018 in 3/32 and 1/8 in, and E6013 from 1/16 to 1/8 in.
Pulse, spot and 2T/4T controls
The pulse function alternates between a higher and lower current. In general, this helps control heat on thin material and gives a neat, stacked bead. The spot key is for tack and spot welds. The 2T/4T switch changes how the torch trigger behaves: in 2T you hold it down while welding, while in 4T you press once to start and again to stop, which is easier on the hand for long welds. A gas shield set is mentioned for protecting the weld pool.
Duty cycle and cooling
Duty cycle is the share of a ten-minute period a welder can run at its rated output before it needs to cool. The listing text calls the unit's 60% duty cycle outstanding, while the specification table lists 30% at 104°F (40°C). Because the two figures differ, check the manual for the exact duty cycle at your chosen current. VEVOR says an air channel design helps cool the power parts and that overheat protection is included. An F insulation grade is listed.
Size, weight and power
It measures about 14.6 x 5.9 x 11.8 in (37 x 15 x 30 cm) and weighs 18.8 lb (8.53 kg), light enough to carry. It accepts 110/220V (±10%, 50/60Hz). At high current, a 110V supply typically limits output, so a 220V circuit is the usual choice for using the full range.
Who it suits
VEVOR positions it for hobbyists, makers, small fabricators and craftspeople working on thinner metals. Its weight and dual voltage suit people who move between locations.
What to check before you buy
- Your metals: confirm they are on the listed range, and note that aluminium is not listed.
- Thickness: compare your typical material to the 5 mm maximum.
- Power supply: check the circuit and breaker at your workspace, and which voltage you will use.
- Stick welding: add an electrode holder, since it is not in the package.
- Gas: TIG needs shielding gas, a regulator and tungsten electrodes. Check what you already have.
- Safety: wear a proper welding helmet, gloves and clothing, ventilate the area, and follow the manual and local codes.
The short version
- A 210A, 3-in-1 inverter welder: HF TIG, stick and clean mode.
- Runs on 110V or 220V; weighs about 8.5 kg.
- Pulse, spot and 2T/4T controls.
- Rated for up to 5 mm material in stainless steel, iron, mild steel, copper and nickel.
- Includes a 4 m torch and a ground clamp; a stick handle is separate.
