This VEVOR platform truck is a flat steel cart on four wheels, meant for moving loads that are too heavy or awkward to carry. Its deck measures 47 by 24 inches, and VEVOR rates it for 2,000 lb (907 kg). It is aimed at workshops, warehouses, garages and homes.
Deck, frame and finish
The deck is a welded steel panel made from Q235 steel, a common structural grade, and is 2 inches (50 mm) thick. VEVOR says the powder-coated surface resists rust and scratches. Overall the cart measures 47.2 x 24.0 x 32.5 inches and weighs 56 lb (about 25 kg), which is substantial but still manageable for one person to lift into a vehicle in pieces.
A cargo baffle, a raised edge at one end, is designed to stop items from sliding off. The deck is otherwise flat, so loose or round items usually need straps or a box.
Casters and steering
There are four 5-inch (125 mm) nylon casters; the listing elsewhere gives the caster material as PU. Two are swivel casters that turn 360 degrees for steering, and VEVOR describes the ride as quiet. As a general rule, larger casters roll more easily over thresholds and small cracks, while small hard wheels struggle on rough ground. A cart like this is best suited to smooth floors, such as concrete, tile or flat paving.
Detachable handle
The push handle is 22.83 inches (580 mm) long and comes off. With the handle removed, the cart is easier to put away against a wall or fit into a car trunk. VEVOR says the handle can be put on or taken off without difficulty and that the design lets you use the cart flexibly.
What 2,000 lb means in practice
A rated capacity is the load a cart is designed to carry when it is spread evenly across the deck and rolled on a level surface. In everyday use, keep heavy items low and centred, and avoid concentrating weight at one end or edge. Moving a heavy load on slopes, over kerbs or at speed is a different matter from the rated figure, and stopping a loaded cart takes more effort than you might expect. Follow the manual and use sensible lifting practice.
Who it suits
It suits anyone moving boxes, tools, appliances, stock or luggage over short distances on smooth floors: workshop and garage users, small shops, restaurants, and households shifting heavy items between rooms. VEVOR also lists factory warehouses, auto stores and shipping docks.
What to check before you buy
- Space: measure doorways, aisles and lifts against the 24-inch width and 47-inch length.
- Surface: confirm that your floors suit 5-inch nylon casters.
- Load type: consider whether you'll need straps or a box for loose items.
- Storage: the cart is large even with the handle off, so check where it will live.
- Assembly: check the manual for how the handle attaches and whether any tools are needed.
- Capacity: keep real loads within the rated capacity and spread evenly.
