The VEVOR 2-tier welding cart is a steel rolling cart built to carry a welder, a gas cylinder and the small items that go with them. It is meant for workshops and garages where welding or plasma cutting equipment has to move between jobs, and where loose tools tend to pile up.
Weight limits
VEVOR gives two load figures: a maximum static capacity of 265 lb and a maximum dynamic capacity of 220 lb. Static is the weight the cart can hold while standing still; dynamic is what it is rated to carry while being rolled. The dynamic figure is the one to use for planning, since a cart carrying a welder and a cylinder is mostly moved loaded. The cart itself weighs 37.5 lb and measures 28 x 15.8 x 24 inches.
Two tiers and four drawers
The upper tray measures 11 x 18 inches and the lower tray 15.8 x 28 inches. VEVOR says the top shelf is adjustable and inclined, with a design meant to keep the welding machine secure by adjusting its centre of weight. Four drawers hold smaller items such as tips, caps, pliers and consumables, and VEVOR says the cart can take welding caps, machines, guns and tools.
Two side brackets are intended for welding guns, pliers and similar tools, which keeps them off the work surface.
Gas cylinder slots and chains
The cart has two cylinder slots and two stainless steel safety chains. VEVOR says these keep cylinders from slipping and lists oxygen, acetylene, nitrogen and liquefied gas cylinders as suitable. Cylinders must always be secured upright, and requirements for storage, transport and mixing different gases vary by location. Follow your local codes, the cylinder supplier's guidance and the cart's manual.
Casters and handle
Two 2.9-inch (7.2 cm) swivel casters at the front turn through 360 degrees, while two 7-inch (17.5 cm) rear casters are meant to keep the cart steady under heavy loads. The wheels are PVC, which VEVOR says absorbs shock, runs quietly and doesn't scratch floors. An anti-slip handle is there for pushing and pulling.
Build and assembly
The cart is made of steel that VEVOR says resists abrasion and deformation. Precisely positioned holes are meant to make assembly quick, so expect to bolt it together yourself.
Who it suits
It suits home garage welders and small workshops using MIG, gas-shielded or TIG (argon arc) equipment, as well as anyone with a plasma cutter who wants everything on one cart.
What to check before you buy
- Your machine's weight and size: compare it plus a cylinder with the 220 lb dynamic limit and the shelf dimensions.
- Cylinder size: check that your cylinder fits the slots and chain.
- Floor surface: small front casters move best over smooth, clean floors.
- Cord and hose routing: think about where the leads and hoses will run.
- Assembly: check the manual and tools needed.
- Work area rules: follow your local codes for cylinder storage and welding spaces.
