The VEVOR 1320 lb Wireless Electric Hoist is a ceiling or beam-mounted electric winch with a steel wire rope. It lifts heavy items in garages, warehouses and workshops, and it is operated from a wireless remote rather than a hand crank or a short control cord.
Single line or double line
The hoist has two lifting modes. VEVOR's figures are:
- Single line: 660 lbs at 32 ft/min, with a maximum height of 39.4 ft.
- Double line: 1320 lbs at 16 ft/min, with a maximum height of 19.7 ft.
The reason is a pulley principle. In double-line use the rope runs through a pulley block at the load, so two lines share the weight. That doubles the capacity but halves the speed and the lift height. For lighter loads, single line is faster and goes higher. Always work within the rated capacity and check the manual for how to set up each mode.
The motor
VEVOR lists a 1150W motor on 110V power and says a large cooling fan helps stop overheating. Hoists of this type are normally built for intermittent lifts, not constant running, so allow cooling time between lifts as the manual advises.
Wireless remote
The remote works from up to 328 ft (100 m), VEVOR says, so the operator can stand clear and watch the load instead of standing under it or running a cord. It includes an emergency stop button. Wireless range depends on walls and interference, so check the real range at the site.
Cable, hook and mounting
The 19-strand steel wire rope is described as thickened, and the hook is a high-strength metal one. The steel body is meant to resist deformation. Mounting brackets let you hang the hoist from a ceiling or beam in two steps, and a 13 ft lifting sling strap and a 3.2 ft shaft belt with a metal ring are included. The hoist body is about 15.4 x 6.0 x 7.0 inches.
Whatever you hang it from has to carry the full load. Check the beam or anchor point, and use a qualified person if you aren't sure.
Who it suits
VEVOR names garages, factories, warehouses and homes, for professionals and hobbyists. Typical jobs include lifting engines or heavy parts in a workshop, moving materials to an upper level and positioning equipment.
What to check before you buy
- Load: your heaviest item, plus rigging weight, must be well within the capacity listed for the mode you'll use.
- Height: compare the lift heights with the space you have.
- Anchor point: confirm the beam or ceiling can take the load.
- Power: check for a suitable 110V supply.
- Remote range and batteries: check the remote's battery type and test its signal where you'll work.
- Safety: never stand under a suspended load, and follow the manual and local rules for lifting equipment.
