VEVOR 1320 lb Electric Hoist with Remote: features, specs and who it suits
A 110V electric hoist rated at 1,320 lb on a double line, with a 14 ft wired remote, 1150W motor and four safety features. What the specs mean in practice.

The VEVOR 1320 lb Electric Hoist is a mains-powered winch that lifts loads on a steel cable, controlled from a wired handset. It is meant for garages, workshops, warehouses and attics, where raising heavy items by hand is slow and awkward. This page explains what its load figures mean and what to confirm before relying on it.
Single line and double line lifting
The hoist offers two ways to run the cable. In single-line mode, VEVOR rates it at 660 lb, with a speed of 32 ft per minute and a maximum lift of 39.4 ft. In double-line mode, the cable passes through a pulley on the hook block, which doubles the rated load to 1,320 lb. The trade-off is speed and height: 16 ft per minute and 19.7 ft.
This is how most pulley systems work in general. Doubling the lines halves the load on each line but needs twice as much cable for the same lift, so the hook moves more slowly. Choose the mode by the weight of the load and the height you need, and never exceed the stated load for the mode in use.
The motor and cooling
The listing describes a copper motor rated at 1150W, with a large cooling fan to limit overheating. Hoists of this type are normally rated for intermittent use rather than continuous running, so the manual's duty-cycle guidance matters. If you plan to make long or repeated lifts, check how long the motor may run before it needs to rest.
Cable, hook and body
VEVOR specifies a 19-strand steel wire rope, a high-strength metal hook and a steel body. A multi-strand cable is generally more flexible than a few thick strands, which helps it wind neatly onto the drum. Before each use, inspect the cable for kinks, fraying or broken strands, and check the hook and its latch.
Remote control and built-in safeguards
The wired handset has a 14 ft cord, so you can stand to one side and see the load while operating the hoist. VEVOR lists four safety features:
- an emergency stop button;
- a limit switch;
- an automatic brake;
- an anti-spin rope.
A limit switch typically stops the hook before it runs into the hoist body, and an automatic brake holds the load when the button is released. These are aids, not substitutes for careful rigging. Keep people clear of the area under a raised load.
Mounting and what's included
The hoist hangs from a ceiling or beam using mounting brackets, and VEVOR describes the installation as two steps. A 13 ft lifting sling strap and a 3.2 ft shaft belt with a metal ring come with it. The hoist measures about 15.4 x 5.9 x 7.1 in (39 x 15 x 18 cm) and weighs 34 lb (about 15.4 kg), so it is a two-person job to lift into place.
The support it hangs from matters as much as the hoist itself. A beam or anchor point must be able to carry the full working load plus a safety margin, and a structural engineer or qualified installer can confirm that.
Who it suits
It suits home workshops, garages, small warehouses and trades that need to raise engines, equipment, materials or stock. It is not a replacement for equipment rated for lifting people.
What to check before you buy
- Load and height: compare your heaviest load and lift height with the single-line and double-line limits.
- Mounting point: confirm that the beam or structure can carry the working load.
- Power: it runs on 110V, so check you have a suitable outlet near the mounting point.
- Use: check the manual for duty-cycle limits, inspection routines and local rules on lifting equipment.
- Cable reach: the 14 ft handset cord sets how far you can stand from the hoist.
The short version
- A 110V electric hoist with a 1150W motor and a steel wire rope.
- Single line: 660 lb at 32 ft/min up to 39.4 ft. Double line: 1,320 lb at 16 ft/min up to 19.7 ft.
- A 14 ft wired remote, with an emergency stop, limit switch, auto brake and anti-spin rope.
- Mounting brackets, a 13 ft sling strap and a 3.2 ft shaft belt are included.
- About 34 lb; follow the manual and local rules for installation and lifting.
