The VEVOR 3-in-1 is a benchtop machine that combines a sheet metal brake, a shear and a slip roll. A brake bends flat sheet into angles, a shear cuts it, and a slip roll curves it into tubes and cylinders. Putting all three in one unit suits small workshops that do not have space for three separate tools.
What each of the three functions does
Bending. The brake folds sheet along a straight line, as used for trim, flashing, brackets, boxes and panels. VEVOR lists a maximum bending angle of 90°.
Shearing. The shear cuts sheet along a straight line. VEVOR says its blade is made from T10 steel and cuts without burrs, with a blade clearance below 0.0027 in (0.07 mm).
Rolling. The slip roll passes sheet through rollers to form curves, for example for ducting, pipes or rounded panels.
Capacity: 12 inches and 20 gauge
The listing gives a maximum sheet width of 12 in (305 mm) and a maximum thickness of 20 gauge, about 1 mm. Gauge numbers run backwards, so a higher number means thinner metal. Capacity figures normally apply to mild steel at a stated strength, and harder materials take more force. VEVOR says it can process low-carbon steel, aluminum, brass, copper, lead, zinc and plastic sheet. A 12-inch width suits small parts, not full-size panels or long runs.
Segmented bending blades
The central bending module has five blades, in sizes of 1 in, 2 x 2 in, 3 in and 4 in. A segmented set means you can shape a box or tray by removing blades so that finished flanges are not in the way. VEVOR mentions uses such as exterior wall panels, doors and window materials.
Materials and build
According to VEVOR, the frame is cast from HT200 iron, the bending blade and rollers are made of 45# steel, and the rollers are finished with external cylindrical grinding to reduce friction and scraping. Cast iron adds weight and rigidity, which helps keep bends accurate. The unit measures about 20.9 x 14.8 x 15.0 inches and weighs 90.4 lb (about 41 kg), so it is a bench machine that needs a solid, level base.
Setting it up and using it safely
Bolt or clamp it to a sturdy bench if the manual calls for it. Sheet edges are sharp, so wear cut-resistant gloves and eye protection, and keep fingers clear of the blade, the bending line and the roller nip. Follow the manual on lubrication and adjustment.
Who it suits
It suits hobbyists, HVAC and ductwork installers, metal fabricators and maker spaces that handle thin sheet in small pieces. Work that needs wide panels, thicker steel or high volume calls for a larger machine.
What to check before you buy
- Sheet size: confirm your work fits within 12 in and 20 gauge.
- Material: check the stated capacity against the metal you use, since stainless steel is harder than mild steel.
- Bench and space: about 90 lb needs a strong, level surface.
- Blade needs: check how blades are replaced and sharpened.
- Accuracy: consider how precise your bends and cuts need to be.
- Protective gear: gloves, eye protection and safe handling of sharp offcuts.
