The Veise RZ07C is a smart door lock set for a front door. It combines an electronic deadbolt with a touchscreen keypad and fingerprint reader, a handle set, and two passage knobs for interior doors. The finish is satin nickel. It is for people who want keyless entry and the option of sharing access without handing out physical keys.

Seven ways to open the door

Veise lists seven access methods: fingerprint, app, web portal, key fobs, a code, shared eKey and a mechanical key. The mechanical key is a useful backup if batteries run out. Veise says you can generate an eKey remotely and give access to someone anywhere, and that the app and web management system, which show user lists and access records, can be used for the life of the product at no extra charge.

User capacity

The lock stores up to 50 fingerprints, 1,000 key fobs and more than 250 user codes. The package includes 2 IC cards. Codes can be one-time, permanent, scheduled or recurring, which suits family members, house sitters, guests or cleaners. Veise says it also suits apartments, offices and hotels.

Locking modes

Veise lists auto-lock, one-touch locking, privacy mode, passage mode and secure mode, plus a low-battery alert. Passage mode typically keeps a door unlocked for free movement. The touchscreen keypad is described as anti-peeping and anti-hacking, and the lock carries an IP54 protection class. In general, IP54 means limited protection against dust and splashing water, which is not the same as being fully waterproof. Check the manual about exposure to weather, and about where the keypad and handle may be mounted.

Smart home integration

Remote access, lock activity, real-time notifications, and voice control with Alexa and Google require the Veise G2 gateway, which is sold separately. Veise says the app and web portal then let you manage users and view access records from anywhere. Check the manual for exactly which features work without the gateway, and for how the lock pairs with your phone.

Installation

Veise describes it as easy to install. The set replaces both the deadbolt and the handle, so door preparation matters: the bore holes, door thickness and edge drilling all need to match what the manual specifies. Take your time with alignment, because an electronic lock that binds against the frame will wear its motor and batteries faster. If you are unsure, a locksmith or qualified installer can fit it.

Who it suits

Households that regularly share access, such as families with older children, rental hosts or small offices, are the natural audience, since individual codes and fingerprints can be added or removed without re-keying.

What to check before you buy

  • Door thickness, bore hole sizes, backset and handing against the specifications in the manual.
  • Whether you need the G2 gateway for remote use, since it is sold separately.
  • Battery type and replacement routine, and where the mechanical key will be kept.
  • Number of interior doors you need knobs for.
  • Finish match with your existing hardware.
  • Insurance or building rules for electronic locks where you live. Follow the manual and local codes.

  • Stores up to 50 fingerprints, 1,000 fobs and 250+ codes, with scheduled and one-time sharing.
