The DESLOC B200L is a keyless smart lock for a front door. It combines a lever handle with a fingerprint sensor and a touchscreen keypad, and it can be controlled by an app. DESLOC says you grip the handle, place a finger on the sensor, and unlock in one movement.
Ways to unlock it
DESLOC lists many methods: fingerprint, PIN codes, app control, eKey, fobs and two physical keys. With the optional G2 Gateway (sold separately) it can also work with Alexa or Google voice assistants. DESLOC gives the fingerprint reading time as under 0.3 seconds and says the system has been improved through AI learning. The keypad supports up to 100 PIN codes, which helps if several family members, cleaners or regular visitors need their own entry.
App and remote control
The lock pairs by Bluetooth with the TTLock app, with a stated range of 2 metres. That means that without the gateway, app control happens near the door. With the G2 Gateway you gain remote control. The app can issue temporary access codes for a set time window, which is a practical way to let a guest or tradesperson in without sharing a permanent code.
Security and build
DESLOC says the interior is designed to reduce the risk of lock picking, and that the dual-sided body is aluminium alloy. Anti-peeping PIN protection is included; this feature typically lets you add extra digits around your real code so an onlooker can't read it from the keypad. Auto-lock re-secures the door after you pass through. As with any lock, the real-world security also depends on the door, frame and strike plate. The brand supplies no independent certification in the listing, so check the packaging and manual for any security grade.
Weather, temperature and battery
The lock carries an IP54 protection class, meaning protection against dust and splashing water, rather than full immersion. DESLOC says it operates from -22°F to 158°F (-30°C to 70°C). Battery life is quoted as 12 months, which depends on use. An emergency power port lets you wake the lock with an external source if the batteries run flat, and the physical keys are a further fallback.
Installation and support
DESLOC says installation takes minutes with just a screwdriver, and the interior back cover uses adhesive for hands-free setup. The warranty is one year, with support by phone on weekdays (EST) or email at any time. The lock weighs about 3.8 lb (1.7 kg).
What to check before you buy
- Door fit: confirm door thickness, bore hole and backset against the manual, and that a handle with deadbolt suits your door.
- Handing: check whether the handle suits left- or right-hand doors, or can be reversed.
- Remote access: the G2 Gateway and voice assistant link are sold separately.
- Batteries: see which type it takes and where the emergency port sits.
- Fingerprints: very dry, worn or wet fingers can be harder for any sensor to read, so keep another entry method available.
- Codes and building rules: follow local codes, fire-safety requirements and your landlord's or building's rules.
The short version
