The eufy Security Smart Lock C210 (model T8502) is a keyless deadbolt with a touchscreen keypad and built-in Wi-Fi. It replaces the lock on an entry door so you can unlock it with a code, a phone, a watch or a key, and check its status from the eufy Security app. It was previously sold as the E110; the listing says there is no difference between the two.

Built-in Wi-Fi and no bridge

Many smart locks need a separate bridge or hub to connect to the internet. The C210 has Wi-Fi inside the lock, so eufy says no bridge is required. Through the app you can control the lock from anywhere, manage access, receive real-time notifications and read an event history. That history is the sort of log that shows when the door was locked or unlocked, which is handy for confirming that a family member got in.

Five ways to unlock

eufy lists five methods:

  • the eufy Security app on your phone;
  • the touchscreen keypad;
  • a physical key;
  • an Apple Watch;
  • voice control through Alexa or Google Voice Assistant.

Having a physical key as a backup matters, because any battery-powered lock can run flat. Voice commands for unlocking are typically protected by a spoken PIN in the voice assistant's settings, so check how your assistant handles that.

Fitting it to your door

Per the listing, the lock is compatible with most standard US deadbolts, installs in about 15 minutes and needs no drilling. In general, a lock like this reuses the existing hole in the door and replaces the hardware on either side. Before ordering, check your door's thickness, the backset and the bolt type against the manual's compatibility information. The listing gives dimensions of 8.7 x 3.1 x 7.1 inches and a weight of 1.5 lb.

It runs on four AA batteries, which are included.

Durability and alerts

eufy says the lock is BHMA certified, tested through more than 100,000 lock-and-unlock cycles. BHMA is the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association, which grades residential hardware for durability and performance. The listing also says the lock sends an alarm when someone makes an unusual attempt to open the door. As with any lock, how well it works in your home depends on installation, door strength and good habits with your codes.

Working with a doorbell

If you already own a eufy doorbell, the lock can be added to routines in the same app and controlled together with other eufy devices. If you don't, the lock stands on its own in the app.

Support

eufy states an 18-month after-sales service period with 24/7 customer support.

Who it suits

It suits households that want keyless entry for a standard US deadbolt, a shared code instead of hidden keys, and remote status checks without buying a bridge. It's less suitable for doors that don't take a standard deadbolt, or if you'd rather keep the door entirely mechanical.

What to check before you buy

  • Door and deadbolt: confirm your existing deadbolt and door match the compatibility list.
  • Wi-Fi at the door: check that your router's signal reaches the front door.
  • Batteries: know how the app warns about low power, and keep a spare set and the key accessible.
  • Voice and watch control: confirm you have the assistant or Apple Watch you'd want to use.
  • Local codes and the manual: follow the installation steps and any local building or insurance requirements.

The short version

  • A keyless Wi-Fi deadbolt (T8502) with a touchscreen keypad; no bridge needed.
  • Five ways to unlock: app, keypad, key, Apple Watch and voice assistants.
  • Access management, notifications and event history in the eufy Security app.
  • BHMA certified after more than 100,000 lock cycles, per eufy.
  • Fits most standard US deadbolts in about 15 minutes, no drilling; four AA batteries included.
