The Seesii LL044 is a self-leveling green line laser with 16 lines, projected as four 360° beams. It is meant for laying out level and plumb lines when you hang cabinets, lay flooring or tile, or mark out a room. It ships with a rotary base, magnetic bracket and other mounts.

Four 360° lines

Seesii describes the level as having two horizontal and two vertical lines, each running 360°, so the beams wrap around a room. That lets you mark a level line on all four walls from one position, or a vertical line on several surfaces at once. Green beams are generally easier to see than red ones in bright rooms, although visibility still depends on the light.

Accuracy and self-leveling

Seesii rates accuracy at ±2mm per 10m. The level self-levels within a range the brand lists as ±4°, and beeps if the tilt is beyond what it can correct. Self-leveling uses an internal pendulum, so it is worth setting the unit on a reasonably flat surface before you start.

Pulse mode and range

Seesii says the indoor working range is about 40m. In pulse mode, which is used with a laser receiver (not included), the range grows to 200ft. A receiver detects the pulsed beam when it would be too faint to see, which helps outdoors or in bright light.

Dust and splash protection

The level is classed IP54. In general this means it is protected against most dust and splashes, but it is not made for submersion or heavy rain. Using it outdoors is fine for ordinary site conditions, though it is sensible to keep it dry between jobs, keep it in the carry case and let it settle to the surrounding temperature before you start work.

Reading the lines on different surfaces

Line visibility changes with the surface. Pale, smooth walls show a green line clearly, while rough masonry or dark finishes can scatter the beam and make it look thinner or broken. On floors, the line may disappear in strong daylight, which is where pulse mode and a receiver help. Marking the line with a pencil or low-tack tape as soon as it is set will save you from relying on the beam alone.

Mounting options

The kit includes a rotary base for fine 360° adjustment, a magnetic bracket with a metal patch for steel surfaces, and a lift platform for working near the floor. It is compatible with 1/4 and 5/8 mounts, so a standard tripod fits. A remote control is also included.

Power

Two rechargeable batteries and a charger are included. Seesii says each battery gives up to eight hours of use, and you can swap them.

What's in the box

According to the brand: the laser level, lift platform, wall iron, magnetic bracket, two rechargeable batteries, rotary base, remote, charger, carry case and manual, with a one-year warranty.

Who it suits

It suits DIY projects such as flooring, cabinets, shelves, picture hanging and tile layout, and also helps with levelling jobs outdoors if you add a receiver.

What to check before you buy

  • Range: decide whether you need the receiver; it is sold separately.
  • Tripod: check that your tripod thread is 1/4 or 5/8.
  • Beam visibility: the lines are easier to see in dimmer light.
  • Calibration: check the manual for how to verify accuracy, and recheck now and then.
  • Eye safety: follow the manual and never point the beam at anyone's eyes.
