The monTEK HW1277BK is a full-motion TV wall mount for large screens, from 60 to 120 inches, and for sets weighing up to 265 lb. A dual-arm design lets the TV pull out from the wall, swivel and tilt. It suits big rooms where one screen needs to face more than one seating area.
What full motion adds
A full-motion (articulating) mount lets you reposition the TV after it's on the wall. This one extends up to 27.7 inches, swivels ±60° and tilts +5° to -15°. Together these let you turn the screen toward the sofa, a dining table or a corner, and angle it down to reduce reflections from windows or lamps.
When fully retracted, the TV sits 2.95 inches from the wall, so it can still look neat when you're not using the movement. The tilt is tool-free, meaning no knobs or wrenches are needed to change the angle, which monTEK says helps with glare on 4K and OLED screens.
Dual arms and weight limit
Large TVs are heavy and, when pulled out, put a lot of leverage on the wall plate. monTEK uses a reinforced dual-arm structure made of industrial-grade steel, and says it prevents sagging or shaking even with 100-inch-plus TVs fully extended. The rated limit is 265 lb, and monTEK says the mount passed 4× load-bearing tests. Treat those as the brand's figures, and stay within the stated limit, including any accessories.
VESA and TV compatibility
VESA is the standard spacing for the four mounting holes on the back of a TV. This mount covers 200×200 to 900×600 mm, and monTEK says it works with LED, LCD, OLED, QLED, 4K and 8K sets from makers such as Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL and Hisense. Confirm your TV's VESA size and weight in its manual before ordering.
Walls it works with
The mount attaches to wood studs at 12", 16", 18" or 24" spacing, and to concrete or brick. A stud finder helps you locate the framing, and the mounting template in the box helps you mark the holes. As always for a heavy installation, follow the manual and check local building codes.
Installation
The mount arrives preassembled, with a quick-lock and release feature for hanging and removing the TV. The box includes mounting hardware, a bubble level, a mounting template and an installation guide in English. monTEK recommends two people for installation because of the mount's 34.6 lb weight, and with a TV this large you'll want help lifting the screen too.
Who it suits
It suits home theatres, open-plan living rooms, gaming setups and meeting rooms where a screen of 60 inches or more needs to be angled toward different seats. If the TV will only ever face one direction, a fixed or tilting mount is simpler.
What to check before you buy
- TV weight and size: compare with 265 lb and 60 to 120 inches.
- VESA pattern: check it falls within 200×200 to 900×600 mm.
- Wall type: wood studs, concrete or brick; confirm your stud spacing.
- Room to extend: allow for 27.7 inches of extension and swing, away from furniture and corners.
- Cable length: extending the arms pulls on cables, so check you have enough slack.
- Helpers: plan on two people for the installation.
