The Lockly Secure Plus (model PGD728FCVB) is a keyless smart deadbolt in a Venetian Bronze finish. It combines a fingerprint sensor, a touchscreen keypad, RFID cards and a smartphone app, with a physical key as a backup. Lockly positions it for homes, offices and rental properties where several people need access.
Seven ways to unlock
Lockly lists seven methods: an RFID card, 3D biometric fingerprint, the PIN Genie keypad, a scan-to-open blue QR code, the smartphone app, Alexa or Google voice control (with the optional Wi-Fi hub), and a physical key. Having several methods is useful because different people prefer different ones. A card suits children, older relatives or staff who do not carry a phone, and the key remains as a fallback.
Fingerprint sensor
The second-generation 3D biometric sensor stores up to 99 fingerprints. Lockly says it recognises a finger in under 0.3 seconds and opens the lock in under 0.5 seconds. Fingerprint readers generally work best on clean, dry fingers, and enrolling the same finger a few times from different angles typically improves recognition.
PIN Genie keypad
The PIN Genie is Lockly's patented digital keypad. According to the brand, it shuffles the number positions after each use, so someone watching or looking at smudges on the screen cannot easily work out the code. You enter your PIN by following where the digits appear on that occasion.
Access sharing and offline codes
Through the Lockly app you can send eKeys and eBadges, which give family, friends or visitors access that can be revoked. Lockly also describes Offline Access Codes, which trusted users can use without Wi-Fi or internet. The scan-to-open QR code offers contactless entry through the app. Remote lock and unlock, status monitoring and real-time alerts to your phone need the optional Wi-Fi hub, as does voice control.
Auto-lock and rekeying
A programmable auto-lock feature locks the door again after a set time, which helps if you tend to forget. The key cylinder can be replaced with a standard rekey kit without swapping the whole lock.
Installation, size and warranty
Lockly describes installation as DIY with common household tools. The lock is a deadbolt edition and weighs about 1 lb (the listing gives overall dimensions of 7.4 x 3.1 x 4.5 inches). Lockly lists a limited 5-year mechanical and finish warranty, a 2-year electronics warranty and lifetime technical support.
Who it suits
It suits households that want keyless entry for several people, small offices, and property managers who need to grant and revoke access without handing out keys.
What to check before you buy
- Door fit: confirm your door's thickness, bore holes and backset against the manual.
- Wi-Fi hub: remote control, alerts and voice assistants require the optional hub, which is sold separately.
- Power: check the battery type and how the lock warns you when power is low, and keep the physical key accessible.
- Finish: confirm the Venetian Bronze colour suits your hardware.
- Local codes: door hardware used in rentals, offices or fire-rated doors may have rules; follow local codes and the manual.
