The Thermaltake TH360 V2 ARGB is an all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler for a computer's processor. It pairs a copper water block and pump with a 360mm radiator and three 120mm fans, and it adds addressable RGB lighting that can follow your motherboard's lighting software. Here is what the specifications mean.
How an all-in-one cooler works
A pump circulates liquid between a block sitting on the processor and a radiator. The liquid carries heat away from the CPU, and fans pull air through the radiator to release it. Compared with a tower air cooler, an AIO moves the bulk of the heat exchanger to the edge of the case. A 360mm radiator, with room for three 120mm fans, gives a large surface for that job.
Block, pump and radiator
Thermaltake says the water block has a copper base plate for good heat conductivity. The pump runs under PWM control from 1,500 to 3,300 RPM. The radiator is aluminium, 396 x 120 x 27 mm, and the rubber tubes are 460 mm long. Thermaltake describes the radiator as slim, with a thickened 20mm copper chamber.
The fans
Three CT120 ARGB fans are included. Thermaltake lists each as 120 x 120 x 25 mm, with PWM speed from 500 to 1,800 RPM, noise up to 34.7 dB-A, maximum airflow of 57.05 CFM and static pressure of 2.23 mm-H2O. They use hydraulic bearings, with a stated life expectation of 40,000 hours at 25°C. PWM control means the motherboard can vary fan speed with temperature, so the fans can be quieter at low load.
Lighting
The pump cap has a rotatable design with infinity mirror lighting. ARGB, or addressable RGB, uses a 5V three-pin header on the motherboard so each LED can show its own colour. Thermaltake says it syncs with ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync and ASRock Polychrome. Thermaltake also suggests matching the fans with its own case fans for a consistent look.
Socket compatibility
The feature list names Intel LGA 2066, 2011-3, 2011, 1700, 1200, 1156, 1155, 1151 and 1150, and AMD AM5, AM4, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, AM2, FM2 and FM1. The description's compatibility line is shorter, listing Intel LGA 1700, 1200, 1156, 1155, 1151 and 1150 and AMD AM5, AM4, AM3+, AM3, AM2+ and AM2, so confirm your exact socket, and any mounting hardware, with Thermaltake before buying. The cooler carries a two-year warranty.
Who it suits
It suits builders with a medium or large case that has a 360mm radiator mount, typically on the top or front panel, who want a coloured, synchronised lighting setup.
What to check before you buy
- Case support: confirm your case takes a 360mm radiator and check its clearance for the 27mm radiator plus fans.
- Socket: check your CPU socket against the manufacturer's compatibility list.
- Memory clearance: check that the radiator and fans do not hit tall RAM.
- Headers: you will need a PWM fan header, a pump header and a 5V ARGB header on the motherboard.
- Tube reach: 460 mm must reach from CPU to radiator in your layout.
- Upkeep: AIO coolers are sealed; read the manual on mounting and orientation.
The short version
- A 360mm AIO CPU liquid cooler with a copper block, aluminium radiator and three 120mm ARGB fans.
- Fans run at PWM 500 to 1,800 RPM; the pump at 1,500 to 3,300 RPM.
- Infinity mirror pump cap with 5V ARGB sync for major motherboard software.
- Supports many Intel and AMD sockets; verify yours first.
- Two-year warranty.
