The Soundcore Space One Pro (model A3062) is a pair of foldable, wireless over-ear headphones with active noise cancelling. It is aimed at commutes, flights and long days at a desk, where the combination of battery life, comfort and portability matters most.
How adaptive noise cancelling works
Active noise cancelling (ANC) uses microphones to pick up outside sound and plays an opposing signal to reduce it. It is typically most effective on steady, low sounds such as engine hum, air conditioning and road noise, and less so on sudden sounds like voices.
Soundcore calls its approach 4-stage adaptive ANC. The headphones sense the surroundings and adjust cancelling in real time, aiming for airports, offices and city streets. The app also has adjustable ANC settings, so you can change the level yourself.
Sound quality and LDAC
The listing describes triple-composite drivers and Hi-Res certification, with output up to 40 kHz. In practice, "Hi-Res" refers to a wider frequency range than CD audio. Whether you can hear the difference depends on the music, your ears and the source file.
LDAC is a Bluetooth codec that sends more data than the standard one, and it is turned on in the free soundcore app. Your phone must support LDAC as well, and it usually uses more battery. The app also offers an adjustable EQ for bass, mids and treble, EQ modes and HearID, Soundcore's personalised sound profile.
Battery life and charging
Soundcore quotes 40 hours with ANC on and 60 hours with ANC off. A five-minute fast charge is rated to give 8 hours of playback. Real life varies with volume, codec and features, so treat these as the brand's rated figures.
Comfort and portability
The headband adjusts itself without clamping, and the ear cushions use soft protein leather over slow-rebound foam. Soundcore says this keeps them comfortable on long flights and workdays. Comfort is personal, though, as head size, glasses and ear shape all play a part.
The headphones fold to about half the size, according to Soundcore, which makes them easier to fit in a bag pocket or drawer. They measure 6.4 x 3.5 x 7.5 inches and weigh 0.6 lb, about 270 g.
Connectivity
They use Bluetooth 5.3 and can connect to two devices at once, for example a phone and a laptop, switching between them. That helps if you take calls on your phone while working at a computer. The soundcore app also handles over-the-air firmware updates.
Who it suits
They suit frequent travellers, commuters, remote workers and anyone who wants wireless listening with long battery life. People who want a wired connection for studio monitoring should check what the listing offers, since it covers wireless features.
What to check before you buy
- Codec support: check whether your phone supports LDAC if that matters to you.
- Fit and comfort: consider head size and whether you wear glasses.
- Noise needs: ANC reduces sound but doesn't remove it, and awareness matters near traffic.
- Charging: confirm what charging cable and connection you'll use.
- App features: HearID, EQ and updates need the soundcore app on your phone.
