The Blackview Active 8 Pro is a rugged Android tablet built for places where an ordinary tablet might not last: building sites, workshops, trails and campsites. It combines a 10.36-inch display, a very large 22000mAh battery, cellular connectivity and a sealed, shock-resistant body. This is the orange version.
What the rugged standards mean
Blackview lists IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H. IP68 generally means dust-tight and able to survive immersion in water, and the listing says the tablet can be used in 1.5 metres of water. IP69K covers dust and high-pressure, high-temperature water spray. MIL-STD-810H is a US military test standard for environmental conditions, and the listing ties it to 1.5 metre drop protection and use in extreme heat and cold. Check the manual for the exact conditions, since ports need to be properly closed to keep the sealing.
Processor, memory and storage
The tablet uses a MediaTek Helio G99 (MT6789) octa-core chip. The listing gives 24GB of RAM as 8GB physical plus 16GB of virtual RAM, along with 256GB of storage. A TF card can extend storage by up to 1TB. It runs Android 14. Virtual RAM borrows storage space as working memory, so it helps with keeping apps open but is slower than physical RAM.
Display and cameras
The screen is a 10.36-inch IPS panel at 2.4K resolution, described as scratch-resistant, with three eye-care modes and TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification. Cameras are 48MP at the rear (Samsung sensor) and 16MP at the front (Hynix). Blackview says the Google Lens and ArcSoft technology are used for image processing.
Battery and charging
The 22000mAh battery is rated at up to 1080 hours standby and 96 hours of talk time. A 33W charger is included. For comparison, regular tablets usually carry batteries of about a third that size, so this one is aimed at long days away from a socket. OTG reverse charging means it can also charge other devices through a cable.
Connectivity and navigation
It supports 4G LTE, with two Nano SIM slots, or one SIM plus a TF card. It also has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS with Glonass, BeiDou and Galileo. Blackview says it covers the major network operators in Europe and North America, but check band support with your own carrier.
In the box
The listing includes the tablet, a stylus, a screen film, a 33W charger cable, a USB-C data cable, an OTG USB cable, a SIM/TF pin, a TÜV document and a screwdriver. Blackview backs it with a 2-year warranty.
Who it suits
It suits field workers, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who wants a tablet that can take knocks, dust and rain, particularly where navigation and cellular data matter.
What to check before you buy

- Carrier bands: confirm 4G LTE bands for your network.
- Sealing: make sure port covers are closed before exposure to water or dust.
- Performance: the Helio G99 is a mid-range chip; check it against your apps.
