This Blackview rugged tablet pairs a 9-inch screen with a tough body, a large battery and multi-system GPS. It is meant for people who take a tablet outdoors or onto a work site, where it is likely to be knocked about and used with gloves.

Built for rough use

Blackview describes the build as withstanding bumps, scrapes, moisture and dust, and lists Panda MN228 glass for better drop and scratch resistance than standard glass. The listing doesn't give an IP code or drop-test standard, so check Blackview's specification page if you need one. The IPS display has 360 nits typical brightness, which Blackview says keeps it visible in sunlight. Brightness at that level is moderate, so direct sun on a glossy screen can still make reading harder. A glove mode lets the touchscreen respond when you wear gloves.

Battery and charging

The 6,600mAh battery supports 18W fast charging. Blackview says it provides enough power for multi-day GPS navigation and tracking. Real battery life depends on screen brightness, mobile data and what you run.

The tablet supports four satellite systems: GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo. Using several systems typically helps a receiver lock on faster and stay accurate when part of the sky is blocked. A magnetometer provides compass direction. Together, these suit hiking, off-road use and finding specific worksites.

Memory and storage

It runs Android 15. Blackview lists 8GB of physical RAM with memory expansion that adds up to 16GB of virtual memory, for a 24GB headline figure. Virtual memory uses storage space and is not as fast as real RAM. Storage is 128GB UFS, and a TF (microSD) card extends it; the title mentions up to 1TB. UFS storage is generally faster than older eMMC.

Connectivity

The tablet has 5G WiFi in the sense of the 5GHz band, Bluetooth 5.2, dual SIM and 4G LTE, including bands B19 and B20 for international use. OTG support lets it connect USB drives and tools. Widevine L1 is listed, which typically allows HD streaming in supported apps.

Sound and cameras

Dual box speakers, each rated at 8Ω 2.0W, are meant to be audible over wind, water or machinery. Cameras are 16MP and 13MP, per the title.

Who it suits

It suits outdoor workers, field teams, hikers and anyone who needs a hardy tablet for maps and logging. It is less suited to heavy gaming or editing.

What to check before you buy

  • Protection level: look for the exact dust, water and drop certifications if your work demands them.
  • Mobile network: confirm the 4G bands match your carrier.
  • SIM and card: check the SIM and storage card are not included.
  • Size and weight: rugged devices are thicker than regular tablets.
  • Software support: check how long updates are offered.
