The ASUS ExpertBook B5402CBA-XVE75 is a 14-inch business laptop built for people who carry their work with them. ASUS says the chassis weighs as little as 2.75 lb (about 1.25 kg), and it pairs a 12th-generation Intel Core i7 with security hardware aimed at company and remote-work use. This page explains what the main specs mean and who they suit.

The processor, memory and storage

The laptop uses an Intel Core i7-1260P with Iris Xe integrated graphics. The "P" series chips are 28-watt-class mobile processors that mix performance and efficiency cores, which typically suits office work, many browser tabs, video calls and light creative tasks. ASUS lists it as a vPro Essentials model, a feature set that IT departments use for managing and securing fleets of laptops.

Memory is 16GB of DDR5, which gives plenty of room for multitasking, and storage is a 1TB SSD. Iris Xe graphics are shared with system memory and handle everyday video and light editing, but they aren't meant to replace a dedicated graphics card for demanding 3D work or modern games.

Display and keyboard

The screen is a 14-inch Full HD panel. ASUS notes that it is TÜV certified for lower blue light emission. The keyboard is a backlit chiclet design, and it includes the ASUS NumberPad: a number grid built into the touchpad that you switch on and off. For anyone who enters figures regularly, it removes the need for an external keypad while keeping the chassis compact.

Security and privacy features

A large part of the pitch is protection for business data. The listing names:

  • a fingerprint sensor for sign-in;
  • a physical webcam privacy shield;
  • a TPM 2.0 chip, a hardware component that stores encryption keys and supports features such as disk encryption.

The laptop ships with Windows 11 Pro, which adds business tools such as domain join and BitLocker drive encryption compared with the Home edition.

Video calls and audio

ASUS describes two-way AI noise-cancelling audio. In general, this kind of software filters background sound on both the microphone you send and the audio you receive, so speech is easier to hear in a shared space. Results depend on the room and the software you use for calls.

Portability and battery

At around 2.8 lb and about 0.7 inches thick, it is easy to slip into a bag. ASUS calls the battery "all day", but real endurance depends on screen brightness, workload and power settings, so treat that as a guide rather than a guarantee.

Who it suits

It suits professionals and small teams who travel, work from several locations or need a managed Windows machine. Students who want a light 14-inch laptop with a lot of storage may also find it fits. It is less suited to people who need a powerful dedicated GPU for gaming or 3D rendering.

What to check before you buy

  • Ports: confirm the ports match your monitors, docks and accessories, and whether you need adapters.
  • Fit and weight: check the dimensions against your bag or sleeve.
  • Software: confirm your work software runs on Windows 11 Pro, and whether your employer needs a specific edition or management setup.
  • Upgrades: check the manual on whether the memory and storage can be changed.
  • Charger and warranty: check what's in the box and the warranty terms for your region.
