The ASUS Dual Radeon RX 7600 EVO OC Edition is a graphics card with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, built on AMD's RDNA 3 architecture. It is a two-fan card for 1080p gaming PCs, from ASUS's Dual line, which the brand describes as favouring substance over style.
What the GPU offers
The RX 7600 is an AMD Radeon chip, and ASUS describes the card as the RDNA 3 architecture "in its purest form". In OC Mode it lists a boost clock of up to 2715 MHz and a game clock of up to 2300 MHz. Clock speeds are a ceiling, not a promise, since real speeds depend on temperature, power and the game. The card connects over PCIe 4.0 and has 8GB of GDDR6 memory, which is typical for cards aimed at Full HD gaming.
Outputs
The listing names HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4a. HDMI 2.1 matters if you connect a modern television or a high refresh monitor, and DisplayPort 1.4a is the usual choice for gaming monitors. Check how many of each port the card carries before planning a multi-monitor desk.
Cooling
The card uses Axial-tech fans, with a smaller hub that ASUS says increases airflow through the cooling array. The fans have dual ball bearings, which ASUS says last up to twice as long as conventional designs. A 0dB mode keeps the fans stopped at low load, so light gaming and desktop use can happen in relative silence. The fans start once the temperature rises.
Build quality
ASUS mentions Auto-Extreme automated manufacturing for higher reliability, and a stainless-steel bracket it calls harder and more resistant to corrosion.
The 2.5-slot design
The cooler occupies 2.5 expansion slots. ASUS says this gives greater build compatibility while maintaining strong cooling, since the cooler is thick enough to dissipate heat without needing a very long card. The listing gives the card's length as 9.0 inches (about 23 cm) and weight as 1.5 lb (about 0.7 kg). The thickness still blocks the adjacent slot, which can matter in a compact case or a board with closely spaced slots.
GPU Tweak III
GPU Tweak III is ASUS's software for performance tuning, thermal controls and system monitoring, including fan curves and clock adjustments for those who want them.
Who it suits
It suits builders assembling or upgrading a PC for 1080p gaming who want a compact two-fan card, and who value quiet operation at idle.
What to check before you buy
- Case clearance: measure the length and the 2.5-slot thickness.
- Power supply: check the manual for the recommended wattage and the power connector the card needs.
- PCIe slot: a PCIe 4.0 slot is ideal; older slots usually work but may limit bandwidth.
- Monitor connections: match your monitor to HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4a.
- Display resolution: consider whether 8GB of memory fits the resolution and games you play.
- Drivers: confirm driver support for your operating system.
