The ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC Edition (DUAL-RTX4070TIS-O16G) is a graphics card for gaming PCs, built on NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace architecture with 16GB of GDDR6X memory. Its two-fan Dual design is aimed at people who want strong performance in a card that fits into smaller cases.
Ada Lovelace, DLSS 3 and ray tracing
The card uses NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace architecture, which ASUS calls ultra-efficient, with full ray tracing support. Two hardware blocks do the special work. The 3rd generation RT cores handle ray tracing, the lighting technique that simulates light bouncing around a scene, and ASUS says they offer up to twice the ray tracing performance of the previous generation. The 4th generation Tensor Cores run AI tasks, including DLSS 3.
DLSS 3 uses AI to upscale images and generate extra frames, which can raise frame rates in games that support it. ASUS says it gives up to four times the performance of brute-force rendering. That is a best-case figure, and results depend on the game and settings.
16GB of GDDR6X
The card carries 16GB of GDDR6X video memory. Memory capacity matters for high-resolution textures and at 1440p and 4K, where games use more of it. Sixteen gigabytes is generous for current games at those resolutions, and also useful for some creative and AI workloads.
OC edition clocks
ASUS gives a boost clock of 2,655MHz in OC Mode and 2,625MHz in Default Mode. The difference is small, and the mode is typically chosen with ASUS's software. Boost clocks vary with temperature and power, so treat them as upper figures.
Cooling: Axial-tech fans and 0dB
ASUS says the Axial-tech fan design uses a smaller hub, which allows longer blades, and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure. The 0dB technology stops the fans at low loads, so light gaming or desktop use can be in relative silence. The fans use dual ball bearings, which ASUS says can last up to twice as long as sleeve bearings. The Auto-Extreme process is ASUS's automated manufacturing, which it says improves reliability.
Size and ports
The card occupies 2.56 slots, which ASUS designed to maximise compatibility and cooling in small chassis. It weighs about 2 lb (0.9 kg). The listing doesn't give dimensions, so check ASUS's specification for length and height. Outputs are HDMI 2.1a and DisplayPort 1.4a, and the interface is PCIe 4.0.
Who it suits
It suits gamers on a 1440p or 4K display who want ray tracing and DLSS 3, and builders working with a compact case.
What to check before you buy
- Case clearance: confirm length, height and the 2.56-slot thickness against your case.
- Power: check the recommended power supply and the connector type in ASUS's specs.
- Slot: it uses PCIe 4.0; a motherboard with a PCIe x16 slot is needed.
- Display: make sure your monitor's inputs match HDMI 2.1a or DisplayPort 1.4a.
- Support: confirm that the games you play support DLSS 3.
The short version
