The VEVOR XS-003 is a handheld, battery-powered pressure washer. With no mains cable or hose connection to a tap needed in the same way as a full-size machine, it is aimed at quick jobs such as washing a car, rinsing a patio, cleaning a fence or watering plants. Here is what its listed figures mean.
Pressure and flow: 652 PSI and 1.1 GPM
Pressure washers are described by two numbers. PSI is the force of the water, and GPM (gallons per minute) is how much water flows. VEVOR lists a 652 PSI high-pressure mode with a 1.1 GPM flow rate, intended for cars and paving stones, and a 290 PSI regular mode for everyday cleaning of walls and floors. For comparison, mains-powered home pressure washers are commonly rated well above this, so this is a light-duty tool: more suitable for dirt, dust and mud than for stripped paint or ground-in stains.
Three pressure settings
The brand describes three adjustable settings: 1.2 MPa low pressure for gentle washing such as household glass, 1.6 MPa medium pressure for large floors and fences, and 2.0 MPa high pressure for stubborn grime in tight corners. Starting at the lowest setting that works, and testing on a hidden patch, is the usual advice for delicate surfaces.
Nozzles and the foam pot
The listing describes three spray options. A 6-in-1 nozzle gives 0°, 15°, 25° and 40° fans, plus "up" and shower modes. A high/low pressure nozzle and a 180° rotatable nozzle are meant for hard-to-reach places such as a car roof or underbody. A foam pot is also included for foam washing or watering. A narrower angle concentrates the water into a harder jet, while a wider angle spreads it over more area more gently.
Battery life
The kit includes a 4.0Ah battery and a charger. VEVOR says the battery lasts about 20, 40 or 60 minutes on the high, medium and low settings respectively. Higher pressure draws more power, so run time falls as you turn it up.
Weight and carrying
VEVOR gives a net weight of 4 lb (about 1.8 kg) and says it is easy to control with one hand; the listed shipping weight is 6.4 lb including the kit. A mesh storage bag is included. A lighter tool is easier to use overhead or under a car, but the water supply (a tap hose or a bucket, depending on the setup in the manual) still needs thought.
Who it suits
It fits owners of small patios, balconies, cars, bikes and garden furniture who want something simple to put away and quick to set up. It is less suited to large driveways or heavy-duty work.
What to check before you buy
- Water source: read the manual to see how the unit takes in water and what connectors you need.
- Your surfaces: check that the pressure suits them, and avoid using it on anything fragile, such as window seals or old paintwork.
- Run time: compare 20 to 60 minutes with the size of the jobs you have.
- Battery and charger: confirm the charging time and whether the battery works with other tools, as VEVOR describes it as supplied with this kit.
- Upkeep: check the manual for rinsing, storing and winter care.
