The VEVOR XS-002 is a handheld, battery-powered pressure washer. With no mains cable and no hose connection to a tap, it can be used on a car, a bike, a fence or a patio, or by a bucket, where a full-size machine is awkward to bring out. It is a light-duty cleaner for everyday jobs.
What 580 PSI and 1.1 GPM mean
PSI measures the pressure of the water, and GPM measures how much flows through each minute. VEVOR lists two modes: a 290 PSI standard mode for walls and floors and a 580 PSI high-pressure mode with a 1.1 GPM flow rate for cars and paving stones. For context, mains-powered pressure washers commonly work at much higher pressures. This one sits at the lighter end and suits washing and rinsing more than stripping paint or heavily ingrained dirt.
Pressure and flow work together. Higher pressure loosens dirt, and a higher flow rinses it away. Using a wider spray and keeping some distance from the surface generally reduces the chance of damage to paint or soft materials.
Battery and run time
The washer comes with a 4.0Ah battery and a fast charger. VEVOR says a charge lasts about 40 minutes of use. Run time depends on the pressure mode and conditions, so expect less in high-pressure mode. Check whether the battery is shared with other tools and how long a charge takes.
Nozzles and foam
A 6-in-1 nozzle and a high/low pressure nozzle give different spray patterns, from a narrow jet to a wide fan. VEVOR lists uses including fences, vehicles, boats, windows and wall crevices, and says the washer can even water the garden. A foam pot is included for foam washing, which is common for cars.
Drawing water from a bucket or other source
A 19 ft (6 m) hose with a filter basket draws water from a bucket, pool, river or other source, so no tap connection is needed. The filter basket stops leaves, sludge and particles from reaching the pump. Be sure to read the manual on using natural water sources and running the pump dry, which can damage a pump.
Weight and handling
VEVOR gives a net weight of 4.2 lb (the shipping weight in the listing is 5.6 lb), light enough for one-handed use. Overall dimensions are 30.0 x 3.4 x 9.0 inches (about 76 x 9 x 23 cm). A mesh storage bag is included to keep dust out and carry the washer.
Who it suits
It suits car washing, light jobs around the home and garden, boats and bikes, and anyone who needs a washer away from a tap or an outlet. It is less suited to large driveways, heavy staining or professional cleaning, where a more powerful machine is generally used.
What to check before you buy
- Cleaning tasks: compare 290 and 580 PSI with the dirt you need to remove.
- Run time: decide whether 40 minutes per charge suits the size of your jobs, or if you need a spare battery.
- Water source: confirm you can reach a bucket, tank or tap for the suction hose.
- Surfaces: keep a safe distance and test on a hidden spot first, especially on paint and wood.
- Safety: follow the manual, and never point the jet at people, animals or electrical equipment.
- What's included: check the battery, charger, nozzles, hose, foam pot and bag.
