The VEVOR Camping Kitchen Table is a folding cook station that brings a kitchen counter, cupboards and a cooking area to a campsite. It has three zippered fabric cupboards, a side table, a shelf, utensil hooks, a windscreen around the cooking area and a lamp pole, and it packs into a single carrying bag. Here is how it's laid out and what to think about before taking one camping.
The layout: worktop, cupboards and hooks
Set up, the table is 68.5 inches (174 cm) long, and the listing gives a depth of about 18 inches (46 cm) and a height of 69.3 inches (176 cm). Stoves, grills, food and cookware can go on the tabletop, inside the three zippered cupboards, on the side table or on the lower storage shelf.
Hooks hold spatulas, ladles and tongs, so they're within reach and off the worktop. Zippered fabric cupboards help keep food, plates and cutlery together and out of dust and insects, which makes a camp kitchen easier to keep tidy over a weekend.
The cooking area and windscreen
The centre of the table is an aluminium top surrounded by a three-sided windscreen. Wind is a common problem when cooking outdoors: it bends a gas flame away from the pan, so food takes longer to cook and the stove burns more fuel. A windscreen on three sides keeps the flame steadier and holds in heat.
Follow your stove's own instructions on placement and clearances, and keep the open side of the windscreen in mind when setting the table up relative to the wind.
Lighting for evening meals
An adjustable lamp pole holds a lamp above the worktop at night. VEVOR lists its height range as 26 to 47.6 inches (about 66 to 121 cm). A lamp hung over the counter lights the whole worktop and leaves both hands free for cooking. The listing doesn't mention a lamp in the package, so check whether you need to bring your own.
Frame and countertops
The frame is made of aluminium tubes with a reinforced X-shaped structure, which VEVOR says adds stability. Aluminium is light for its strength and doesn't rust, which suits outdoor gear.
The countertops are MDF, an engineered board made from wood fibres. MDF gives a flat, smooth work surface, but it generally doesn't like standing water, so it's worth wiping up spills and letting the table dry before packing it away after a wet trip.
Setting up and packing away
The table unfolds and packs up in a few minutes without tools, according to VEVOR. Folded, it's just 5.5 inches (14 cm) thick, and everything fits into one 600D Oxford cloth bag of about 31.1 x 19.7 inches (79 x 50 cm). The 600D figure refers to the fabric's yarn thickness; higher numbers usually mean a sturdier cloth.
A single bag makes it simpler to load and unload, and the slim folded shape can slide in alongside other gear in a car, trailer or RV.
Who it suits
It suits car campers, RV travellers and families who cook full meals outdoors and want a proper work surface with space to keep things organised. It also works for picnics and backyard barbecues. Because it packs into a single large bag, it's made for trips where you drive to your site rather than carry gear on foot.
What to check before you buy
- Vehicle space: check that a bag of about 31 x 20 inches, 5.5 inches thick, fits your car or RV.
- Weight: check the packed weight on the listing and whether you can lift and carry the bag comfortably.
- Your stove: measure your stove against the aluminium centre section and windscreen.
- Ground: the table needs reasonably level ground; check how it sits on uneven campsites.
- Weather: plan to dry the MDF tops and fabric cupboards before putting the table away.
