The VEVOR BTC002E is a steel dump cart that tows behind an ATV, UTV, garden tractor or ride-on mower. It carries soil, branches, fertilizer and garden waste around a property, and the bed tips to unload. VEVOR rates it at 600 lb with 17 cubic feet of space.

Capacity and bed

A 17 cubic foot bed is roughly half a cubic metre. Volume and weight are separate limits: a full bed of dry leaves is light, while the same volume of wet soil or gravel would far exceed 600 lb. In practice, heavy materials call for a part-filled bed. VEVOR notes that a three-sided guardrail design increases storage space and cuts down on trips.

Construction

VEVOR says the cart has 1 mm thick side panels with reinforced ribs and eight reinforcement ribs under the bed, intended to improve load capacity and prevent deformation. The finish is a hammer-tone paint, and the axle is thickened and powder-coated. Steel carts like this typically benefit from being kept dry and touched up if the paint is chipped. The cart measures about 66.5 inches long and 29.9 inches wide, and it weighs 99.2 lb (about 45 kg) empty.

Hitching

The cart uses a 0.47 inch (12 mm) pin. VEVOR lists compatibility with tractors, ATVs, UTVs and lawnmowers. The hitch on your machine must accept that pin size, and the machine must be able to tow the loaded weight, so check its manual.

Hand or foot dumping

There are two ways to tip the bed:

  • Hand-pull release, which VEVOR describes as better for precise unloading.
  • Foot pedal release, which suits quick bulk unloading.

Tyres and terrain

The cart rides on 16 x 4 inch pneumatic tyres. VEVOR says these give traction across grass, mud, sand and gravel. Pneumatic tyres cushion bumps but need correct pressure, and they can puncture, unlike solid wheels.

Who it suits

It suits owners of acreage, large gardens or hobby farms who already have a tractor, ATV or ride-on mower and need to move material regularly. It is less practical for small suburban lots without a towing machine.

What to check before you buy

  • Towing machine: confirm its hitch, towing capacity and the 12 mm pin fit.
  • Load weight: keep within 600 lb and consider the weight of wet material.
  • Slopes: loaded carts can push a small machine downhill, so follow the manual for slope limits.
  • Storage: with a 66.5 inch length, check the garage or shed space.
  • Assembly: note what tools and time the listing or manual calls for.
  • Upkeep: check tyre pressure, the dump latch and the paint.
