The VEVOR BSG250A is a gas-powered pressure washer rated at 4400 PSI and 4.0 GPM. Because it runs on petrol rather than mains electricity, it can be used anywhere there is a water supply, which helps with driveways, patios, fences and vehicles far from an outlet. It is a large, heavy machine, at about 137 lb (62 kg).
What PSI and GPM mean
PSI is the pressure of the water leaving the nozzle, and GPM (gallons per minute) is the volume. Pressure loosens stubborn dirt, while flow carries it away, so many people look at both numbers together. A figure of 4400 PSI at 4.0 GPM is toward the high end for consumer machines. VEVOR says it suits tough stains such as years of grime and moss on brick patios, and oil or rust marks on concrete. Higher pressure can also damage softer surfaces like wood, paint and some siding, so start with a wide nozzle and keep the distance.
Engine and pump
VEVOR says the engine is a 390 ml unit with a 1.7-gallon fuel tank and is easy to start. The pump is copper, and the listing describes it as a 15 hp pump. Copper (or brass) pump heads are generally regarded as more durable than aluminium ones, though regular maintenance matters more than the material. Gas engines need engine oil, fuel and periodic servicing, as the manual explains.
Five quick-connect nozzles
The kit includes five metal quick-connect nozzles: 0°, 15°, 25°, 40° and a soap nozzle. A narrow angle such as 0° gives a concentrated jet for the toughest spots, while 25° and 40° spread the water for general washing and delicate surfaces. The soap nozzle is a low-pressure tip for applying detergent. Quick-connect fittings let you swap tips by pulling back a collar rather than using tools.
Gun, wand and hose
The washer comes with a spray gun and an extension wand, plus a 50 ft hose that VEVOR says resists abrasion and high pressure. The accessories are kept on the machine, which keeps nozzles from going missing.
Frame and wheels
A steel frame, an ergonomic handle and two 10-inch wheels that never go flat (solid, not inflatable) let you roll it from the front to the back yard. At 137 lb, though, lifting it into a vehicle or up steps needs two people.
Who it suits
It suits homeowners with large driveways, decks and patios, people who clean vehicles or equipment, and DIY users who need to work away from power. Smaller jobs, like washing a bicycle or garden chairs, may not need this much machine.
What to check before you buy
- Surfaces: match the pressure to what you're cleaning, and test in a hidden spot.
- Water supply: confirm that your hose supplies enough flow for a 4.0 GPM machine.
- Fuel and oil: the engine needs petrol and engine oil, and the manual covers storage and winterizing.
- Where to run it: gas engines produce exhaust, so use it outdoors in the open air only, as the manual instructs.
- Weight and storage: at about 137 lb, check where it will live and how you will move it.
- Noise: gas engines are loud, so consider hearing protection and your neighbours.
