The Jackery SolarSaga 200W is a portable solar panel designed to charge Jackery portable power stations and solar generators. It is meant for camping, RV trips and rooftops, and comes with a carrying bag and a handle for moving it to where there is sun.

Cell technology and efficiency

Jackery uses monocrystalline cells with IBC (interdigitated back contact) technology, and says the panel converts up to 24.3% of sunlight into electricity. IBC cells place the electrical contacts on the back of the cell, so none of the front surface is shaded by metal lines. Jackery says this boosts output, including in low light, and compares it with conventional PERC panels. Efficiency figures are rated under standard test conditions, so real output depends on sun angle, clouds, heat and dirt.

What 200W means

200W is the panel's peak rated output. In full sun it can deliver up to that amount, and over a day it delivers less. Jackery says that connecting six panels can charge a large power station to full in 2.5 hours, which shows how output scales when you add panels. Check the power station's maximum solar input before connecting several.

Compatibility

The listing says it is compatible with Jackery's Explorer 1500 Pro, 2000 Pro, 2000 Plus and 3000 Pro and with other Jackery portable power stations and solar generators. Confirm connectors and input limits for your model in the manuals.

Setup and the angle indicator

Jackery says setup takes about 10 seconds, with an ergonomic handle for carrying. The SolarTarget sunlight angle indicator is meant to help you tilt the panel to face the sun. Tilting towards the sun typically raises output, and re-adjusting through the day helps.

Weather resistance

The panel is IP68-rated, and the ETFE-laminated surface is meant to improve durability and long-term performance. IP68 generally means dust-tight and protected against water immersion under defined conditions. Even so, follow the manual on connection and storage.

What's in the box

One SolarSaga 200 solar panel, a 9.8-foot DC charging cable, a carrying bag and a user manual.

Who it suits

It suits campers, RV owners and people keeping a Jackery power station topped up during outages or outdoor trips. It is easier to move and put away than a rigid roof panel, though a 200W panel still takes real space.

What to check before you buy

  • Power station match: confirm your station's voltage and wattage input range.
  • Number of panels: work out how many you need from your daily energy use.
  • Space and shade: panels need clear sun; even small shadows can cut output considerably.
  • Cable length: the cable is 9.8 feet, so plan where the panel and station will sit.
  • Security: if you leave it outdoors, think about theft and wind.

The short version

  • A portable 200W monocrystalline panel with IBC cells, rated up to 24.3% efficiency.
  • IP68 protection and ETFE-laminated surface.
  • SolarTarget angle indicator and setup in about 10 seconds.
  • Made for Jackery power stations, with a 9.8-foot cable and carry bag.
