The ECO-WORTHY 200W kit (model L02M100N-LCWMZ-2) bundles two 100W monocrystalline solar panels with a 30A PWM charge controller, mounting brackets and cables. It is meant for charging 12V or 24V battery systems in RVs, campers, boats and small off-grid setups.

What is in the kit

According to ECO-WORTHY, the kit includes two 100W panels, two sets of Z mounting brackets, the 30A solar controller, a pair of 16.4 ft 10 AWG solar cables, a pair of 2-in-1 connectors and a pair of 4.92 ft tray cables. Most of what you need to connect panels to a controller is therefore in the box, though you supply the battery and the wiring from the controller to it.

What 200W and 800Wh a day mean

Watts describe the panels' peak output in full sun. ECO-WORTHY states a daily output of 800Wh under four hours of full sunshine, which is simply 200W times four hours. Real output varies with season, latitude, shade, panel angle and temperature, and is often lower. The figure is useful for comparing against what your devices use: a fridge, lights and a fan add up in watt-hours, so list your loads first.

Monocrystalline cells

The panels use monocrystalline cells, which ECO-WORTHY says reach up to 21.5% efficiency under sufficient light. Monocrystalline cells typically produce more power per square foot than some other types, handy when roof space is tight. The brand gives a panel size of about 35.2 x 23.1 x 1.37 inches.

12V or 24V wiring

The panels can be connected in parallel for a 12V system or in series for 24V. Series raises voltage and keeps current lower; parallel keeps voltage and adds current. The 30A PWM controller regulates charging to protect the battery. PWM controllers are simple and common, and generally suit setups where panel and battery voltages are well matched.

Build

The frame is corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy. ECO-WORTHY rates it for wind of 2400Pa and snow load of 5400Pa and says the junction box is IP65. The back has pre-drilled holes and plug-and-play cables.

Who it suits

It suits RV, camper and boat owners, sheds and cabins, and people topping up a battery for a trolling motor, golf cart or backup supply.

What to check before you buy

  • Battery type and voltage: make sure the controller supports your battery chemistry and system voltage.
  • Roof space: measure for two panels plus the brackets.
  • Energy needs: add up daily watt-hours and compare with realistic sun hours.
  • Wiring: check cable lengths and fusing against the manual.
  • Safety: follow the manual and local electrical codes, or use a qualified installer.

The short version

  • A 200W kit: two 100W monocrystalline panels, 30A PWM controller, brackets and cables.
  • ECO-WORTHY quotes 800Wh a day in four hours of full sun.
  • Wire in parallel for 12V or series for 24V.
  • Aluminium frame, 2400Pa wind and 5400Pa snow load figures, IP65 junction box.
  • Needs a battery and suitable wiring, not included.
