The Enhulk Pro PC18 is a rechargeable handheld pool vacuum. It clears leaves, twigs, sand and similar debris from the floor of a pool without hoses, a pump connection or a robot, and it is designed to be used on a pole by hand. Here is what its figures mean.
How a handheld pool vacuum works
The unit has a motor and impeller that draw water in through the head. The water passes through a filter inside a debris cover and returns to the pool, leaving the debris trapped. You submerge the unit, switch it on and move it over the surface, much like vacuuming a floor. Because it is battery powered and self-contained, it does not depend on the pool's pump or filtration system.
Suction and head
Enhulk lists a 40W motor with a hydrodynamic design that moves 18.5 gallons per minute (about 70 litres). The brand says that is enough to pick up acorns, twigs, leaves, mud and sand. The head is 13.4 inches (about 34 cm) wide, and a wider head covers more floor with each pass.
Battery and charging
A 52Wh battery provides, according to Enhulk, up to 70 minutes of cleaning, and a full charge takes about two hours. The brand says that is enough to clean inground pools, above-ground pools, spas, inflatable pools and hot tubs in a single session. Real runtime varies with the setting, debris load and water conditions.
Pole and handle
The telescopic pole extends to 87.5 inches (about 2.2 m) for reaching across larger pools. A 43-inch (about 1.1 m) extended handle is meant for spot-cleaning small pools and steps without bending. Enhulk says the ergonomic grips reduce strain on the back and knees. The unit itself measures about 7.9 x 4.7 x 27.6 inches (20 x 12 x 70 cm).
Debris capacity and maintenance
The cleaning cover and anti-clog filter hold 1.8 litres. Enhulk says that is 30 per cent more debris than standard models, and that the design limits backflow, so debris is less likely to escape back into the water. The removable filter pops out for rinsing, and the tool-free assembly allows it to be taken apart for storage.
Using it safely
Keep the charger and battery away from water, charge in a dry place, and follow the manual's instructions for submerging the unit. The brand says to submerge the water outlet before starting.
Who it suits
It suits owners of small to medium pools, spas and hot tubs who want a quick tidy-up between maintenance routines. A handheld unit cleans the area you cover, so it is best for those who don't mind working by hand. It is not an automatic cleaner and does not replace a pool's filtration or chemical care.
What to check before you buy
- Pool type and size: make sure the pole length and runtime suit the area you need to clean.
- Debris type: fine silt, large leaves and algae may need different handling.
- Surface: check the manual for pool liner and floor types.
- Charging place: you need a dry spot with power.
- Upkeep: plan to rinse the filter after each use.
- What's included: confirm the pole, handle and charger in the box.
