The ECO-WORTHY 12V 300Ah is a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery for off-grid cabins, RVs, solar systems and home backup. It stores 3,840Wh, and adds Bluetooth monitoring and a built-in battery management system (BMS) to a format that replaces a bank of lead-acid batteries.
What 300Ah and 3,840Wh mean
Amp-hours describe capacity at a given voltage, and watt-hours are the more useful measure for planning: 12V multiplied by 300Ah gives 3,840Wh (the listing's figure uses the battery's nominal 12.8V). As a rough guide, a 100W load would run for about a day and a half in theory, although inverter losses and the depth of discharge you choose reduce real-world runtime.
Why LiFePO4
LiFePO4 is a lithium chemistry known for stable behaviour, a flat voltage curve and a long cycle life. ECO-WORTHY says the cells are Grade A, that the lifespan is more than three times that of lead-acid, and that the battery is about a third lighter than lead-acid. The listing's title mentions up to 15,000 deep cycles; such figures depend on discharge depth and temperature, so look in the specification sheet for the conditions. The battery weighs 60.4 lb and measures about 16.3 x 8.5 x 10.2 inches.
The BMS and low-temperature protection
The 200A BMS monitors the cells and protects against high and low voltage, overload and high or low temperature. Lithium cells can be damaged by charging when cold, so ECO-WORTHY says the BMS cuts charging automatically when the temperature drops below -7°C (19.4°F). This matters for anyone storing batteries in an unheated shed, boat or van over winter.
Monitoring
SOC LEDs show the state of charge and status at a glance. A Bluetooth function works with the ECO-WORTHY app to show battery information remotely, and a built-in buzzer alerts you to faults, with the app helping you check the status and troubleshoot.
Expanding the system
ECO-WORTHY states the battery can be expanded in configurations up to 4P2S or 2P4S, for a total of 30.7kWh. "P" means parallel (more capacity at the same voltage) and "S" means series (higher voltage). Follow the manual closely for any multi-battery setup, since mixing batteries or wiring them wrongly causes problems.
Who it suits
It suits owners of solar systems, RVs, boats and backup power setups who want a lighter battery with a long service life and monitoring from a phone.
What to check before you buy
- Your loads: add up your appliances and inverter size against the 200A BMS and your cabling.
- Charger and controller: confirm your charging equipment has a lithium or LiFePO4 profile.
- Cold climates: the low-temperature cut-off protects the cells but pauses charging in freezing conditions.
- Weight and space: at 60.4 lb, plan the mounting and ventilation.
- Wiring and fusing: use correctly rated cables and fuses, and follow the manual and local codes.
- Expansion: if you intend to add batteries, read the series/parallel limits.
