The Dprofy V7-M is a portable Bluetooth speaker designed to attach to a golf cart. Its strong magnets hold it on any metal surface, so it can stay on the cart's frame during a round. The brand says it is also suited to campsites, boats, patios and gyms. Here is what its specs mean.
Magnet mounting
Dprofy says a built-in N52 magnet holds the speaker firmly to metal surfaces so it won't fall off. N52 is a high grade of neodymium magnet. Magnetic mounting is quick and needs no tools, but it only works on magnetic steel; aluminium and plastic parts won't hold it. Check that your mount point is ferrous and the surface is clean.
Sound
The speaker has two 52 mm full-range drivers, each rated at 10 watts, with neodymium magnets. Dprofy says this gives loud stereo sound and a rich bass. A feature called TWS (true wireless stereo) lets two units pair for a wider stereo effect. Rated power is the brand's figure; real volume depends on the environment, and outdoors, sound spreads out quickly.
Battery life
The 5200mAh battery is rated for up to 24 hours at 60% volume, and the brand says it covers two rounds of golf at full volume. Battery claims depend on volume and light use, so expect shorter times with the lights on at high volume.
Bluetooth 5.3
Bluetooth 5.3 is a recent version. Dprofy says it resists interference better and connects faster, with a range up to 100 feet (about 30 m). Walls and obstacles reduce range in practice.
Water and dust resistance
The speaker is IPX6 certified. In general, IPX6 means it can withstand powerful water jets from any direction, which covers rain. The "X" means that code says nothing about dust, although the brand also describes it as dustproof. IPX6 is not designed for submersion.
Lights and microSD
There are two light modes: a breathing light and a multi-coloured rhythm mode, switched by a button. A microSD card slot lets you play music files without a phone.
Size
It measures about 1.8 x 8.0 x 3.0 inches (4.6 x 20 x 7.6 cm). The listing describes a set of two units, so check what's in the box.
Who it suits
It suits golfers who want music on the cart, and people who want a rugged speaker to attach to metal at a campsite, boat or workshop. Check the rules of your course, as some limit music.

- What's included: confirm whether one or two speakers arrive.
