The VEVOR MT-2117 is an automatic electric pasta maker. It mixes flour and water, kneads the dough and pushes it through a shaped disc, so you can go from flour to fresh noodles without kneading or rolling by hand.
How an automatic pasta maker works
You add flour to the chamber and then pour in the liquid. The machine mixes it into a crumbly dough and extrudes it through a disc, much like a piping bag, and the disc determines the shape. VEVOR says the MT-2117 uses a two-way kneading rod and four-dimensional mixing to imitate hand kneading, aiming for a texture close to hand-made pasta.
The 150W motor drives the process. Four automatic modes make it a one-touch operation, and VEVOR says recipes and simple ratios are included for beginners.
Capacity and speed
The machine takes up to 500 g of flour. VEVOR says that is enough for about four people and that a batch takes around 14 minutes. Eight discs come with it, so you can make different pasta shapes from the same dough.
Getting the dough right
Water amount matters more than anything else with extruded pasta. The brand warns that adding too much or too little water means the dough will not pass through the disc and will stick in the machine. Use the flour-and-water ratio table in the Quick Start Guide and measure carefully. The flour and liquid measuring cups included are made for this.
Cleaning
VEVOR suggests letting leftover flour on the parts dry naturally, then tapping it off. A cleaning brush and a spatula are included for the corners, and the parts are described as dishwasher-safe. Drying first is general good practice with dough, since wet dough turns sticky and clings to parts.
What's in the box
- The pasta maker
- Eight pasta discs
- Flour measuring cup and liquid measuring cup
- Spatula and cleaning brush
- Instructions and recipes
Size
It measures about 13.4 x 7.1 x 11.0 inches (34 x 18 x 28 cm) and weighs 11.0 lb (about 5 kg). That is a compact footprint, but it still needs counter space and a nearby outlet.
Who it suits
It suits households that enjoy fresh noodles and would like to skip the manual kneading and rolling. A single batch size suits a small family rather than a big party.
What to check before you buy
- Which shapes you want: check the eight discs against the pasta you cook most.
- Batch size: 500 g of flour suits roughly four servings, as VEVOR states.
- Ingredients: check the manual on flours and any other ingredients it recommends.
- Space: allow room on the counter and for keeping the discs.
- Cleaning: confirm which parts go in the dishwasher and which should be brushed only.
- Use: follow the manual for loading, the order of steps and handling the moving parts.
