VEVOR ML-6061-U Portable Steam Sauna Tent: features, specs and what's included

The VEVOR ML-6061-U is a portable personal steam sauna: a foldable tent that you sit inside, with your head out through an opening, while a separate steam generator supplies warm steam through a hose. It folds into a storage bag, so it can be put away when not in use.

How the tent works

You sit on the included folding chair inside the tent. A steam pot outside, connected by hoses, produces steam that is delivered through what VEVOR calls 360° all-around steam nozzles. The head opening keeps your head outside the tent. Because it is a steam design rather than a dry sauna, the tent works with moist heat at fairly modest temperatures.

The steam generator

The steam pot holds 2 litres. VEVOR lists a 1000W rated power and nine temperature levels, and says an anti-dry-burn design is built in. Anti-dry-burn features typically cut the heat if the water runs low. The listed temperature range is 104 to 134°F (40 to 57°C), which is warm rather than the high heat of a traditional sauna.

Remote control, temperature and timer

A handheld remote controls temperature and a timer from 1 to 60 minutes, and takes two size 7 batteries (included, per the package list). Setting a timer means the session ends on its own, but always follow the manual's guidance on session length and who should not use a steam sauna.

Chair and space

The folding canvas chair has 1 mm thick support rods and is listed for up to 270 lb. The tent measures 31.5 by 31.5 by 39.4 inches (800 by 800 by 1000 mm), and the net weight with accessories is about 10.4 lb (4.7 kg). That is small enough for a spare room corner, but you need clear floor space and a water-safe surface. A foot pad and absorbent mat are in the package for the floor.

What's in the box

VEVOR's package list includes:

• the sauna tent, a storage bag and the 2L steam generator;
• two hoses and a hose connector;
• a medicine box, a plastic foot pad and an absorbent mat;
• the remote control and batteries;
• the chair, a chair storage bag and the user manual.

Who it suits

It suits someone who wants a compact steam setup at home without a built-in sauna, and who has space to set it up and put it away. It is not a substitute for medical advice; if you have a health condition, speak to your doctor before using any heat or steam product.

What to check before you buy

• Your size: compare the 31.5-inch footprint and chair weight limit with the user.
• Power: it is rated at 1000W, so check the outlet and avoid overloaded extension leads.
• Floor and water: set it on a surface that can handle spilled water and condensation.
• Water and upkeep: check the manual on water type, emptying the steam pot and drying the tent.
• Hoses and parts: confirm the connections and any spare parts you may need.
• Local needs: follow the manual and any local electrical guidance.
